I will never understand yolk-phobia. Nor do I understand throwing away yolks and searching out some other "nutrient-dense" food. IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. lol.
I just don't love the taste. They are powdery and weird.

I think something must be off. I got bloodwork on Friday during a physical. I may need vitamin D or a B12 complex or something.
My doctor said that daily vitamins are a waste and not to bother.
My vitamin d is low and I'm taking prescription 50000 unit pills once a week to see if it improves. I'm less tired and my bones aren't hurting for no reason now. Hopefully they can find a reason.
Some people have to watch their cholesterol. I try to stick to 300mg a day. One egg has around 185mg. There are a lot of reasons people ditch the yolk, this is just one.
I'd look at the other foods you are eating. Between what you said here about eggs being high calorie and having issues with cholesterol, I'd suspect that eggs are the least of your nutritional concerns.
Eggs are high in dietary cholesterol. There is little, if any, evidence that the high dietary cholesterol in eggs has any impact on raising your body's cholesterol level.
Additionally, I believe egg yolks contain 1/2 the protein in an egg, so eating egg whites for protein in an attempt to cut calories is ridiculous, as you need to eat twice as many to take in the same amount of protein if you eat the whole egg. The calorie savings is minimal at that point.

You believe it, or you know it to be true based on something? I need to know if I have to eat the yolks. Lol.
I was on a protein kick and was eating 2-3 (whole) hard boiled eggs a day. I was so happy when I dicovered that Costco sells them already boiled and peeled. Then I ate one and gagged. It had a chemical smell/taste to it. It was so gross that I had to have egg salad sandwiches for a month just to get rid of them. Blech!
This is insane. A) that's a lot of fucking eggs, man. B) just fucking make eggs. C) unless you eat nothing but pop tarts and slim jims now, I highly doubt the addition of 1-2 hb eggs a day will change how you feel. Except for the farts.

I eat soft boiled eggs everyday.
I don't understand this?! What is so offensive to people about buying cooked eggs like this. It's not like I paid MORE for the convenience.

LOL. There is just over 6 grams protein in one egg, with 3.6 grams in the white and 2.7 grams in the yolk.
So if you eat one egg at just under 80 calories, you get 6.3 grams of protein, all of the nutrients in the yolk that aren't in the whites, and a lot more flavor (the flavor comment is, in fact, my opinion, not based on anything, lol). Or you can eat 2 egg whites to get those 6.3 grams of protein and save about 40 calories. But then you have to stomach eating two plan egg whites. :-)
