There was one Trading Spaces where they used wine bottle labels to "wallpaper" the kitchen, despite the homeowners not drinking alcohol for religious reasons and the strong objection of the neighbor/friends. Hilarity ensued.
The Crying Pam episode is the one where the homeowner was just devastated by the look. I can't find a video of it anywhere though, boo.
I didn't see the hay episode of Trading Spaces but I knew it jumped the shark when she stapled (STAPLED!) thousands of silk flowers on a bathroom wall. It was the first bathroom they did, IIRC. It was horrifying.
It was the BROWN living room. SHE HATED BROWN.
I feel so bad but it is SO funny. She basically walks in and excuses herself and then you can hear her crying off camera. Man, I loved that show.

Wasn't this the one where they did stripes on the wall - brown walls with thinly taped white stripes? And they painted the fire place and made it look like, 4500000 times better than it did before, but she flipped?

I can't remember if there were stripes, but I am pretty sure they painted the fireplace. She just went into the room and lost it. TLC really should play reruns of this show sometime.
I wouldn't even be able to live in my own house if they had done that to me, as I am severely allergic. To say heads would have rolled would be an understatement.
Does anyone else suspect the reason they are half assign everything - the new nursery, the kitchen etc. - is because they plan to buy, or gave already bought, the show house? They keep saying they are decorating it with their own family in mind...
Did TLC do this on purpose? Like, make it purposely bad? Or were they legit hoping people actually liked these ideas?
It was supposed to be the designer's vision - so you were supposed to think they were all creative and artsy when a lot of times, it just looked like shit and was totally impractical.

That same woman also implied that she would no longer be friends with the neighbors because they gave the neighbors a nice room and got this in return.

SHE TOLD YOU SHE HATED BROWN!
That was the best part, the neighbors looking gobsmacked as this woman lost her damn mind over a fairly tame looking living room. I used to watch the shit out of TS back in the day,

That episode was like bizarro TS. The other room (pictured) was Frank's usual folk art Cracker Barrel shit and the lady who actually got the fashionable room was the one who cried. Crazy.

As I remember, it actually didn't look bad. She was real dramatic about it, though. Lol.

Right! I remember really liking that room when they did it. I probably wouldn't anymore, but at the time it was pretty cool.
