I got to the hospital at 8cm. They had me try a position to flip A from sunny side up and then broke it for me.I didn't feel anything but warmth really.

Did A ever flip or was he born sunnyside up? M was born sunnyside up and was stuck under my pubic bone and had terrible bruising on her forehead, poor girl. In utero she used to stick her feet in my ribs and it used to kill me and I would lean back a lot to help with that pain and I wonder if that put her in that position since reclining is not good for baby positioning. But my mom had 4 kids and all 4 of us were sunnyside up so I wonder if I inherited her pelvis that births sunnyside up babies! But you can bet during my next pregnancy I won't be reclining, just to be sure.
My water broke Niagara Falls style both times out of the blue. With H, I stood up at a meeting at work and boom. With C, I was lying down in bed and boom. The amount of fluid was CRAZY! Like gallons of water.

He did! They put the head of the hospital bed completely up, like a 90 degree angle, then they had me kneel on the bed with my torso against the raised end of the bed so I was looking down over the edge, does that make sense? It was SO PAINFUL and then there was a ton of pressure so I called the dr and he said he flipped. I didn't even think about the reclining! Thats a good point!
I was induced and started pitocin around 11am. At 3 I was about to go into the labor tub for some contraction relief and it broke and just poured on the floor. I felt like it just kept coming out. I cried because I thought they wouldn't let me in the tub if my water broke (they did) it apparently finished coming out in there (nasty). There was meconium in it so they were a little worried but just kept monitoring me. I got the epi soon after at 4pm. He wasn't born until midnight.

I can picture what you're describing--that does sound painful! But glad it worked for you. I'm sure his skull was rotating and pressing on your spine and sacrum--so painful! My back labor was awful, I swore off having more kids it was so bad! Ha, classic line from a woman during labor. And here I am today counting down the days til we TTC.

Yeah back labor is no joke. I was too far along to have any relief by the time he flipped lol, it was basically okay, now push!. It is strange but my pregnancy was so difficult that labor was like a relief haha. Med free back labor a relief. I can't wait to ttc either, when are you planning to start?

Na The plan for TTC is August/September. Trying to time it with H's schedule (he's a teacher) so he's on summer break or close to it when baby #2 comes. Originally I wanted a fall 2014 baby but we are in the process of selling our condo and moving out of the city so we decided to wait. Plus Maeve is still nursing and I was worried getting pregnant would affect things since she is really attached to nursing. My H is about to turn 40 (I'm 30) and I worry about his age--I annoy him about it, poor guy! How about you?

We are waiting on genetic testing results. Should have them in two weeks and then if all goes well start trying in May. If the testing comes back poorly I will be on here making a million posts asking what is the best thing about being one and done. That sounds like awesome timing for you, good luck!
