How many childhood illnesses have you had, if any?
I had the measles when I was 7, which confused my doctors since I'd been vaccinated. They re-vaccinated me once I was cleared up. My brother had the chicken pox, but my other brother and I never got it. I did develop antibodies to it somewhere along the way.
I had chicken pox. My mom doesn't remember hand-foot-mouth being a thing when we were kids, so I had the joy of doing that as an adult. No vaccine-preventable illnesses. Just lots of tonsillitis, bronchitis, and a couple rounds of pneumonia.
My parents are old enough to have suffered through everything - mumps, rubella, measles, etc -and to have lived in fear of polio.
I had chicken pox. I am guessing there is a decent chance I had rotavirus (didn't most people get it as babies/toddlers pre-vaccine?), but I don't know.
No measles, mumps, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, meningitis, or hepatitis for me.
Nothing. I didn't even get the chicken pox when all my friends did. My brother never contracted them either so we must have had some immunity. The vaccine came out when we were teenagers and my mom rushed us to get one.
I also cracked my head open two different times at school, and got hospitalized for dehydration because I didn't like any of the drinks I was offered at home, lol. I was a stubborn kid!
I had scarlet fever too, but I'm pretty sure there is no vaccine for it, right? It's just a rash form of the same virus that causes strep throat.
I have only have chicken pox, but that was also pre-vaccine days. I didn't catch it until I was 13 and it was SO much worse than my 5 and 7 year old sisters had it. I had it internally (coughing up scabs is nasty, yo) and was out of commission for over 3 weeks because of it. I WILL vaccinate my children for chicken box.
I had chicken pox when I was 9. I gave it to my 15 year old sister, who was super pissed, LOL.
My husband had HiB as an infant and nearly died. He was in the PICU for about a month and was very ill. He still has a tracheotomy scar as well as a scar on his ribs from where they had to reinflate his lung. The vaccine came out the year after he had it. You don't hear much about HiB anymore but it's super scary.

Chicken pox, but I was a young 'un way back before there was a vaccine. We had chicken pox parties, instead...one kid in the neighborhood got it, everybody got it.
Sorry @vicmo but I am legit giggling at "lady garden." I had chicken pox when I was 6ish. Broke my leg though when I was 3 and my little sister was 6 months old. I'm sure that was one of the hardest times in my poor mother's life. AND we had just moved.
