I am due with a boy this summer and most of the clothes I am finding are blah. I have two girls so I am used to finding a lot of cute stuff for them but I am not having much stuff for the baby. So if you have a boy were do you shop? I don't like camouflage stuff or mustaches which seem to be everywhere.
I've found cute stuff everywhere: carters, old navy, walmart, children's place. Everywhere has some WTF stuff and some "classic" solids, stripes, etc. Lots of pajamas from Costco which are so cute DD is wearing them. Once Upon a Child always has a bit of everything.
I admit I'm far from a clothes snob, but I've never had a problem finding things that are cute.
There's certainly a lot less to choose from! I have a pretty tight budget for kids' clothes. They grow out of them so quickly! I get a lot of stuff as hand-me-downs, but fill in the gaps at Kohl's, Target, & Children's Place (occasionally). DS1 lived in the Jumping Bean polos his first year.
Lurker chiming in since I'm also due with a boy this summer. I've bought most everything from Carter's - the nautical stuff is huge right now. They have some one-piece outfits with different creatures sewn on the butts. Adorable.
On the cheap my go to's are Old Navy & Target Other options I like are jcrew Factory, Mini Boden and Nordstrom Rack ( sometimes cheap sometimes just cheapER)

I agree with Token. Every major brand has some WTF stuff and some "classic" solids, stripes, polos, etc. I buy most of DS's clothes from Carter's and Children's Place. Yes, Carters has a lot of surfing monkeys and mustaches, but some cute classic stuff too. Here's what's in my cart for my two year old (obviously not newborn sizes), I'm just waiting for a sale.

Gap
I can find lots of cute baby and little boy clothes. I think it gets harder when they are out of the toddler sizes. My go to for tee shirts and bathing suits for 2T and up is Land's End. Hanna Andersson has nice clothes, but I wouldn't spend the $$ on newborn stuff there. Carters has some clothes without graphics for little ones.

I just had a shower for my baby boy yesterday and got tons of cute clothes. Stuff with little submarines, little turtles, little dinosaurs, and like miniaturized little man outfits that look just like something my husband would wear but tiny. The labels seem to be mostly from Kohl's and Carter's.
I agree that there aren't that many cute boy clothes, at least not as much as girl stuff for sure. But I have been surprised at how many cute stuff there actually is. Right now I have found a ton of cute stuff at Target and Old Navy.

I may own all of this Except those shorts. Which I now want!

I think I'm just pickier about boy clothes. Some of the cutesy stuff I can see putting a boy in for a lot less time than I did for DD. I like a wide range of stuff for girls, but I didn't buy much for her at all because of all the gifts.
For DS, arriving in July, I'm just excited to buy stuff! I love the yellow submarine line at Carter's right now, and DH likes sharks, and there seems to be a lot of that as well. I do get annoyed because of all the "Mommy's little hunk" stuff. For some reason I was totally fine with "Daddy's little princess" for DD, but the boy versions are nms. I also had tons of good luck on the baby Gap clearance rack a few weeks ago, when it was an extra 40% off the clearance price. I think ON and Gap are shaping up to be more of my go-tos for future DS.

LOL twinsies! Since we have the same taste, what else have you bought lately, so I can buy it too? I have NO IDEA what I'll pair those green shorts with, but I love the color for spring.
Most of J's clothes come from Gap, Target, H&M and a few items from Carter's and Old Navy. Mini Boden and Nordstrom has some really cute stuff, too, but I tend to shop there sparingly since I can often find what I want at the other, less expensive shops.
I mean, I put a bit of effort into what I buy for him, but in general, I'm always able to find cute stuff for him.
I have 2 boys and buy most of their clothes from Gap. I think their stuff is super cute. I do a lot of polo's in the summer and old man sweaters or button up shirts with sweater vest over them in the winter.
I agree with you. Even the stuff that isn't WTF doesn't make you say, "Aw so cute!" It's more like, "This is fine."
Aww see, I say so cute, when I see J in his little polos and sweaters. And when he was a baby some of his overalls. I do hate that its hard for me to find.clothes for him though. I don't like the sayings, graphics etc. I prefer solids, stripes, etc.
I love Crew Cuts (so cute!), Gap, and Mini Boden for my boys if I am not trying to be MM or buying on sale. I find plenty of cute stuff at Old Navy, Carters (babies/toddlers), and Children's Place (toddlers and big kids), too. I have three boys and feel like there is plenty of cute stuff to buy them.
DS has a lot of Gap clothes. I like the Polo shirts/one-pieces too. You can find them for reasonable prices at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. I'd say if you want to avoid character clothes, you end up with solids, stripes, and plaids a lot of the time, but you can find some cute stuff. It's not the same as shopping for a girl though, that's for sure.
I love overalls for the cute factor. I liked the dark wash ones I got at old navy and then I typically dress him in stripes or solids. I do have some really cute t's from Gymboree . You just have to shop around and wait for the deals.
I love the Ralph Lauren polo one pieces I always see at TJ Maxx. I think farmvillelover was a fan. I have bought them for every little man in my life and they are adorable!
I also like peek for geeky-cool t-shirts and all of the little old man sweater vests and ties that were everywhere in the fall/winter. Plus, hats! Oh, the hats! Newsboy, fedora, etc.
OP, between this and your question about "boy" toys, I think maybe you need to take a deep breath and get through the baby stage first. Kids are just kids for a long time.
0-3: sleepers, because it really doesn't matter what they wear since they spit up all the time. 3m-2y: Polo rompers, lots of collared onesies with jeans or shorts 2y+: polo shirts, cargo shorts, jeans, some t-shirts.
