Drudge is running a headline saying she's emerged as the front runner.
Thoughts?
I personally would be thrilled. She's a brilliant and accomplished woman, she fills good gaps in terms of foreign policy, and can you imagine that VP debate?!?!

I think she'd be a brilliant choice. While I don't agree with her politics she's intelligent and experienced. I wondered why McCain didn't choose her last time when it was clear he was reaching for a woman specifically. I'm glad he didn't as I'm a fan of Obama and glad he won, but I still think she would be a strong candidate.
I never knew much about her during the Bush years, but I would be very interested to hear what she has to say these days. Most likely won't make me change my vote, but still.

She's repeatedly said she doesn't want it.
I do think it would be a really smart pick if she agreed. She's a smart woman, has solid experience, and wasn't sec of state until the 2nd bush term. Our memory is shorter than a flea's, so no one's going to care that she was saying that Iraq was lying about WMDs.
PLUS since most black people only vote on color, she will lock up the black vote, especially since she's blacker than Obama. Just look at how black voters flocked to Herman Cain.
I would love that. Smart, tough, accomplished...perfect. Am I wrong to hope that the fact that she's a woman wouldn't be the big news? I think she would be a huge addition to the Romney team, particularly from a foreign affairs standpoint.
I wonder if there's any reason to be concerned about the parallels in showcasing an attractive vp pick as they did in '08. Should she overshadow Mitt? She could.

dude, are you high or something? She is condolezza rice, not a no name or a palin.
And Romney's not a moron. He knows he can't pick a Santorum or ::shudders:: a Palin. I'm hoping he doesn't pick some token conservative. Apparently, I might be okay with a token black/female. (except I wouldn't call her a token but I know some people would because those people are morons.)

I think that would be a really interesting pick on their part, but I also think that the GOP is going to need someone who is way more conservative to lock up the religious right vote.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I think she would be a good choice - maybe she didn't want to be McCain's running mate but either likes Romney more OR thinks he has a good chance of winning.
I don't agree with her politics generally but I do think she'd be an interesting pick.

I think she could be a good choice for Romney.
And I don't necessarily think he needs to choose someone ultra-conservative to woo the far right. There is a certain segment of the population that isn't going to vote for him at all because he is Mormon, but aside from that group I think most conservatives are going to vote for him no matter what. They aren't they type to just stay home, and I can't imagine them going for a 3rd party and thus risking an Obama victory. They're going to consider Romney the lesser of two evils and vote for him no matter who he chooses.

Yup.
ETA: However, does anyone think Bobby Jindal could be on the radar at all? Or is he off the radar for awhile because of that lousy speech he made a few years back?
i like her, but rumors have swirled for years that she's not straight. Do you think social conservatives would vote for a lesbian?
I hope she actually is a lesbian because otherwise I will add this to my hate list of baseless accusations that a successful single woman *must* be gay.

I agree, but I could see those like Rush tearing her apart.
