Our name didn't break the top 10, but didn't realize how close it was! Funny cause last night cause we told someone we were using Charlotte and their first response was "well at least you don't have to worry about any other children with that name." (I found that a little rude to say anyways)
Huh? Charlotte has always been rather popular, right? Regardless, that was really rude. It's not like you're naming her Winnebago or something.
Our little guy's name (both given and nickname) isn't in the top 25. I guess this is one of the (few) bonuses of naming him after his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
The name we picked for our daughter was more popular (35) in 2013 than in 1946 (87), the year MIL - who DD will be named after - was born. That is so strange, as it's such a timeless name.
One of the plusses to this kid being a boy is the name we have is much less common than the one we picked for a girl. Hopefully before we have a girl, Emily is a little less common. I don't care enough to change my pick, either way, but it would be nice. I didn't mind being one of 4 with my first name in school all the time (my name was #1 when I was born), but I know it irks some people.
I've seen quite a few Liams on my FB feed, but only one of them was shortened from William. I think it's taken on a life of its own, kinda like Sam and Max.
I never heard it before as a NN but have heard it become more popular the last couple years as a name so not surprised it's on here. I think a lot of people are using names like that rather than naming them full and having a NN. Like saying Jake instead of Jacob or just Will instead of William. Which I like.

Although, DH is refusing to discuss names until we know the sex, my current preferences are Zoey or Luke. Luke isn't in the top 25, and Zoey, is barely there at 24. I feel like that's a decent stretch, they might not have to be Luke or Zoey last name, but I might still be able to find those little license plates with their name on it.
Dude. You are fine. Our friends were team green and didn't have ANY names picked out. They didn't name their daughter until she was almost discharged from the hospital.
I'm kind of disappointed that the one name we are considering is in the top 5. We are having a really hard time coming up with any boy names we'll even put into consideration!
Seeing this makes me glad we didn't choose Noah. It was in our top two. Both DH and I have names that were very popular when we were born and didn't want that.
We went with Louis. It's a family name and I love it.
Our name isn't even in the top 1000- and hasn't been in almost 30 years. But it peaked in popularity back in the 1920s, so at least we're on trend in that way?
