I'm a lurker but this post has me in tears. I'm so glad you got help and are feeling better. All of the advice that you got sounds really great and makes total sense. Motherhood is hard! Enjoy those baby smiles.

what a great update. I am so glad that you are finding your center and a way to have that and be a mom as well. and I totally teared up too. good for you for being so brave to take this step.
So many hugs. You are amazing and I am so glad you are doing better. A good friend of mine experienced something similar after the birth of her twins and admitted herself to psych to get stabilized. That plus the right medication has made a world of difference.
When you feel up to it check out the Fearless Formula Feeder blog and FB page. Many women there experieced severe PPD and had to switch to formula. FFF really helped me deal with the sadness and guilt I initially felt about not being able to breastfeed. Her book Bottled Up helped too.
