I still think Twin Peaks is good! If you like David Lynch, it's good. (My brother recently watched it for the first time and said that he just thinks he doesn't like David Lynch very much.) Well, it's good until you find out who killed Laura Palmer, then it goes down hill.
I hate the Golden Girls.
I have never seen Gremlins.
I hate the Goonies.
I have never seen the West Wing.
You know what sitcom holds up well from the 80s? Family Ties.
Whenever I see the "top 10 shows of last week" list I have NO IDEA WHO watches all this crap. Two and a Half Men? NCIS? Is this based on what the Oldz are watching? Whenever I see someone on FB mention that Two and a Half Men is one of their favorite shows, it's a sign to not accept their friend request.
Also, we have been friends on FB for like a year. Do you just randomly friend people and hope they're legit?
Tangent: I know who all of you are on FB who are my friends, but there is ONE PERSON I don't know. I just noticed the name a few weeks ago (though we must have become friends before that), and our friends in common are PCERs. She seems totally cool and nice, so now I feel like it's gone on too long to ask her who she is!
I can't lie. There are like three people on my FB who fit this description.
All things horror related. I have never seen a single horror movie. I scare far too easily and just don't go there on principle. Like, the Haunted Mansion at Disney World is borderline too much for me. Vampires, zombies, mummies, werewolves...nope.
Twinsies. I don't do horror movies, "haunted" rides, "haunted" corn mazes and such at Halloween, etc.

I love that you said The West Wing twice!
it's streaming on Netflix. Y'all have NO EXCUSE.
Lol, I got distracted half way through typing that.
I'm adding it to Netflix. It's not that I'm not interested, I just think I was in college when it was on, and my evening schedule was always a bit up in the air.

I hate Shailene Woodley or whatever her name is and I have ever since that stupid ass teen soap opera. My dislike for her solidified when I realized that wide eyed thing she does is not an affectation for an insipid character but her natural state of being.
Also, I don't care about the Hunger Games. I care about Jennifer Lawrence because Winter's Bone is fabulous and I need her to go back to making those kind of movies instead of playing Mystique.

I haven't seen or read any of the Harry Potter series either. Just never had any interest in them.
I haven't seen or read any of the Game of Thrones Series. I really have no interest in those either.
I used to know all kinds of celebrity gossip, but I'm not up on current stuff. I feel like the current crop of celebrities are boring, and if I tune into an award show, I'm usually left wondering who the heck everyone is.
I used to be really into music and could name pretty much any song that came on the radio, regardless of the station. But, (and not trying to sound pretentious) if you turned on a Top 40 station, I would have no idea who the artist was and would turn the songs off out of annoyance. I kind of hate most of what's played on the radio these days. (GET OFF MY LAWN!!)

Me too. I saw the Exorcist and Halloween - nothing else. Have no interest whatsoever in any more. (The Exorcist probably took care of that for me). I don't really know much about younger actors - had no idea who Paul Walker was when he died.

I am watching NCIS b/c I love Mark Harmon. I am watching NCIS:LA because
I still mourn the loss of CDs. MP3s/iTunes can suck it
Reddit
Soulmate.
My list is long:
Buffy, Friday Night Lights, West Wing, The Voice, anything Harry Potter, anything Twilight, anything Hunger Games, Lost, Lord of the Rings, 24, Game of Thrones, so many more I can't even think to mention
I also don't "get" Seinfeld, much to my husband's shame.

Wha??
If I knew how to post a gif (see previous post) I would post one of a dagger through my heart!

I feel almost ashamed that of all the things discussed there were only three things I hadn't watched seen: The Godfather, although I have been to the Coppola vineyards Joss Whedon anything Game of thrones.
False. I think you're thinking of North by Northwest, which still doesnt suck, but isn't as good as Vertigo.
Double false! I enjoyed most of the first half, but OMG, could they drive around more? Yes, I get it, it has a spiral structure, blah blah blah. But seriously, those scenes are just painfully boring, and I swear it's half the movie. The second half was the worst. An hour of Jimmy Stewart playing dress up and the story that was set up in the first half is now just totally meaningless?! There were a million less convoluted ways to get Jimmy Stewart to the top of a bell tower that didn't involve giving me movie blue balls.
Any and all critically-acclaimed cable/Netflix shows
The Hunger Games (books and movies)
I finally gave into the Hunger Games. I finished books 1 and 2 in a little over a day. I couldn't put them down. I'm pacing myself on book 3, because TTT told me I wouldn't like how it turns out, and I'm not ready for that.
I've never seen any godfather, but I know the theme song. It was one of the first four songs I learned. And I know about corlione (with the cotton balls in his mouth, but that's probably due to Mel Brooks) and the horse head on a platter (is that right?)

Alright so Corleone is related to some pre-acting Sinatra-esque character. Sinatra-esque character wants to be in the motion pictures but the director of the movie he really wants to make doesn't like Italians or mr not Sinatra. So not Sinatra goes to the Corleone wedding to ask the godfather a favor. Godfather sends his lawyer out to Hollywood to talk nice to the director. Director basically says fuck you, I don't know no sticking Corleone and I don't care about that shitty little Italian not-Sinatra guy and I don't want him working in this town. Btw, wanna see my prize horse?
And reasonably of course, the director wakes up to find the head of that horse in his bed.
Ugh, people really need to watch the first one. You can watch the second if you like but you shouldn't watch the third one unless you really, really wanna. And even then, no.

I'm depressed, I made a reference to breakfast clue in MT and someone, who shall remain nameless, didn't remember. It was like I was punched in the gut!
The third one has Sofia Coppola in it and she is god awful. Definitely the worst part of the whole movie. There's one scene I really like but the rest of it is just bad. Not the worst movie ever but it really suffers in comparison to the first two.
I think I like Godfather 2 more than the original but that may just be the changes in time to show Vito's back story.

I don't even think I saw that third one. I don't think. Somebody died on some steps? Andy Garcia?
Sofia Coppola died. It was stupid. Andy Garcia played Sonny's kid by his mistress and he starts up with Michael Corleone's daughter, Sofia Coppola. YES, COUSINS! FIRST COUSINS. STOP IT!
