What troubles me is I had full expectation that my mom was going to live as long as her mother/grandmother: mid-90's. She's 74. Granted, we do not know what the future holds, but I doubt she'll make it to 94.
Just goes to show you is all we have is today. No more, no less.

74 seems so young as far as "elderly" goes, doesn't it? My dad has been having serious medical issues this year, too, and it has kind of floored me. He is 72. That is not old!
