Ummm. What? Did they replace all if the filters and wipers and everything else they try to upswell people on.? Geez. If mine is over $25 or $30 I am annoyed.

Do you have weird synthetic requirements? Mine at my non dealer mechanic is usually $80-90, but the oil alone is stupid( on sale retail $50 amazon and auto parts store locally - he gets it slightly still $$$ ) the special oil filter. Then I have two air filters that have to be done at the same time. DH is like $25-30 for the same service but he doesn't have the weird oil requirement.
Dealer it is $80 for the oil change alone with their service coupon and a half day of my time.
The same damn thing happened the last time I went to the dealership. They lumped the oil change in with other stuff and when I went to check out I was like WTAF? Still pissed about that.
That is crazy expensive but I bet it's because of the synthetic. That's how much mine is each time - the only plus side is I rarely have to get it changed.
I once brought my car to Sears and they didn't even change the oil or the filter. Simply made me wait around for an hour or so and then parked my car in the parking lot. A month later, my dad looked under the hood and sure enough, the oil was dirty and the filter from the prior year was still there. My dad writes the date on the oil filters so he can keep track of when they need a change. They charged me for that oil change and a new filter and they didn't do shit with my car besides re-park it.

I'm reviving this dead thread to tell you that my Jeep is $85-95 full synthetic, BUT I can usually find a coupon and have $15 or so knocked off the price. When xH did the oil changes, supplies at Walmart alone were $55-60.
No way is that normal! I drive a Jeep (4 wheel drive too!) and I've bought that 4 oil changes for around $100 deal someone mentioned up thread. I've paid for oil changes elsewhere and they are no more than what I used to pay for a car ($25-45 depending on where I go or if there is any deal).
That sounds about right for an oil change on a Jeep Wrangler at a dealership. $130/hour is typical labor for places I've worked at. And IIRC, basic LOF's charge .3 hours. But I haven't booked and flagged in a few years...

They cost $100 for my car at the dealership. It's because my car uses synthetic oil. It's $10 more than we've found elsewhere, but they also vacuum and wash my car, which is kind of nice.
Jeep JK capacity is 5 qts I believe, full synthetic, plus disposal, plus labor and materials. $90 sounds right for a dealership.
I do my own car maintenance for many reasons, this is one of them.
You're a jeeper? Aren't you also in the DC area? Are you in any Jeep groups? DH was pretty heavily involved in two of them and even though we moved he still keeps in touch.
DH does our oil changes, I think he usually gets a coupon and gets synthetic oil and a filter for like $40? I don't know, I'm not involved.
