Lol. Too much. DS in 2.
Kid wakes up early.
My one thing about screen time is I insist he only watch shows on Netflix or Amazon prime because I'm pretty anti commercials. Oh, and I'm picky about the "appropriateness" of shows.
But he also goes to MDO twice a week, we color, paint, read, build blocks, have play dates, do classes, etc...so I'm not really worries about the state of his developing brain.
Mine are two and four, so it has increased a bit since they were littler. I would say 1.5-2 hours total in a day, on average, but they aren't staring at a screen for two hours straight. One or two PBS shows in the morning, the 4 year old might watch a show while little bro naps, once in a while we have family movie night with pizza or popcorn during/after dinner.
This might change once school starts and we're not home as much. They've never been in daycare.
1-2 hours. My DD has been watching a lot of Daniel tiger lately. She has not been feeling great due to 3 of her 2-year molars coming in at once. She is not up to doing a lot, and is just tired. Also note, that there are times it is just on but she is not really watching it. I am working on backing it off again, I don't like her watching that much.
I'm sure we've probably done this before, but since I'm SAH now, I worry we watch too much TV. DS is 3. So, how much does you kid watch a day?
Well the tv is ON all day, but honestly 90% of the time it's background noise and DD is busy doing 'other stuff' like chasing the dog, peeling the paper off her crayons, drawing pictures, chasing the cats, playing with her other toys, etc. I almost feel like having it on all the time makes her enjoy it less so it's NBD to watch it or not watch it.
He's in pre school from 9-1 (3 yo)He watches probably 2 hrs a day during the week usually when I'm cooking dinner and getting stuff done around the house. On the weekend it will depend on what we've got going on. He loves the white noise of the tv and will often watch a show then run off and start playing. If behavior starts slacking TV is the first thing that goes.
DD is 2.5. Typically DD watched 30 minutes or less a week. Our only tv is in the basement completely out of sight and she usually watches the iPad. She rarely asks for it because she associated watching a show with cutting her fingernails. I think if she asked for it more or wasn't so easily distracted from the tv, she'd watch more.
She has watched more the last 2 weeks, but that has been due to both her and I being sick, me being very pregnant and now a newborn.

He usually watches one episode of Sesame Street after nap, which us about 50 minutes. Thanks to Amazon Prime, I pick when he watches it. On the weekends, he might not watch any.
Due to me being pregnant and the contractors making naps hard, somedays it's a little more. However, we read, color, paint, play trucks/blocks/puzzles, etc a lot. I feel like it's not going to hurt him in the long run.
Also DH works long hours, so it's just me all day. I do think if DH was home before 6:00 pm, he would watch less.
During the week about 1 to 2 20 min shows. Depends on the night. If she isn't getting a bath I let her watch the second show. She always gets a show when I'm prepping dinner.
Weekend, honestly, probably 2 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Mine wasn't into TV until she was around three. Then she would watch Curiois George or Mickey Mouse Club in the mornings. Especially when she was a 5AM riser.
Then she turned four and is all about TV and movies. She's five now and watches Wild Kratz in the morning while I sleep in a little more. She'll watch a couple show on her PBS kids app in the afternoon while I nurse the baby and put him down for a nap. It guarantees she's quiet while baby is trying to fall asleep.
Usually 30 minutes. Sometimes more if dinner takes a while; as much as an hour on weekends (broken into 2 or 3 chunks). They get bored and don't want to watch much more than that anyway, unless they're sick. And zero minutes if DS is misbehaving too much.
Weekdays is about an hour a day, weekends maybe 2 hours a day. DD only watches a learning show on amazon prime so no commercials but we always have it playing in the background and she goes between playing and watching tv.
None during the weekdays. On weekends DS1 (6.5yo) and DS2 (4yo) watch 1-2 hours of cartoons on both Saturday and Sunday mornings (PBS or qubo, we don't have cable). They watch a movie in the afternoon at least one of the two days, so another 1.5-2 hours. DS3 (20mos) watches maybe up to a 1/2 hour if his older brothers are watching something like sesame street. Otherwise he's just not interested.
DD is 19 months. She probably watches 15 minutes of video clips on our phones per day. We will occasionally watch part of a Disney movie on weekends if the weather is bad or we just need a break, but they don't hold her attention for more than 30 min or so.
