Early 20s. I am now officially more grey than coloured at age 45. Even my hair colourist was shocked at how much grey I have (found a new one last month). I have to colour every 4 weeks.
H found it and made sure to point it out repeatedly. I tried to convince him (and myself) that it was a blonde hair not gray. That attempt was not successful.
I had one when I was an infant. I really noticed them when I was around 10. Fucking Irish hair.
Interesting, is this true? I am Irish genetically but was adopted at birth so I have no bio relatives to compare myself to. I started going gray very early.
I also read somewhere that redheads tend to go gray more quickly/earlier.
That hasn't been my experience. I have none and I'm 36, brother has none at 33, sister has none at 39, my mom was well into her 40s. My MIL is in her 60 and is maybe 25% white, as is her older sister.

26 or so? Just a few, and you can really only see them if you're actually looking for them. I think there are a few more now than there were then, but same deal.
None yet. I'm 31. I have my hairdresser check occasionally, especially since my younger brother started getting noticeable grays at 25 or 26. (Sibling rivalry never dies, right?)
I have had a couple at 31, but only a couple. I am sure they are coming.
My moms mom hardly had any grey when she passed away at 84. My Dad's mom, however, has been completely white as line as I can remember. Since I have already found a couple I think I got screwed in the genetic lottery.
I also read somewhere that redheads tend to go gray more quickly/earlier.
I actually always thought it was the opposite. My aunt was 92 when she died and still had red hair. It was less saturated red, but not white or gray. And then I read that red hair holds its color longer.
This is me. I'm 43 and I have red hair, and no grey yet. My grandmother had red hair well into her 60' and then turned white.

25. When I was pregnant with DD at 27 I got a streak of them down my part. That streak has since grown (I'm now about to turn 34) to cover about 2/3 of my scalp. DD is 6.5 and has one single grey hair. I keep pulling it out and every few months I find it again.
It was fairly recently, so I was either this year (28) or last year (27). So far there are 2 or 3 consistent ones that I see. My hair is light enough that I don't really need to color yet. I am putting that off as long as possible.
