It took a while to get C down tonight. He was randomly crying out, but totally fine if I held him. Lately he's not so into the cuddling, so I was surprised.
H went to a friend's party, SS is getting ready for bed and I just bought Wolf of Wall Street from On Demand. Just waiting on SS to be tucked in, because if the first minute of the movie is any indication of how the rest of it is...I can't watch while he's awake. I'm also about to break out the German chocolate cake ice cream I bought today.
Pretty good day, O was exhausted from a fun late night at my school last night, so he had an extra long nap and went to bed at regular time tonight. We're watching our school's football game now and eating ice cream!
Getting DS to nap in the crib today was a disaster. But, he's sleeping in the crib now. Whatever.
I have the worst headache tonight. I was hoping to watch a little of my football game but the weather delay is going to push it way past my bedtime. Phooey.
Well my DD's new trick is pulling herself to standing in the pack n play at nap time ---but she doesn't know how to get down. I had to go into her room 10x at nap time to place her down again. She was so excited she literally could not sleep. She's not even 7 months yet.

Did your parents have you sit on a phone book when you were too short at the table? I was joking that we need to put a phone book on Leo's high chair, then my DH said his parents used to do that too.
I posted last week that I've always coveted my mom's handmade solid wood dining table. And that she gifted it to me "to pass the torch on family celebrations to your new home." Well DH assembled it today and it's GORGEOUS. It matches the buffet we had already, and my mom had been holding on to two unused benches which magically match it too!
I opened the table's drawer to put placemats in, and there was a gift bag! My parents had hid it, it had a congratulatory card for DH's new job, and a beautiful handmade table runner from a friend at the Farmers Market. What a super sweet thing for them to do! I love my parents.
glitzy07 I'll be a prude and say that yeah, that movie gave me saucer eyes a few times and was a little too much. Still a good movie and interesting story.
As far as the @this thread, eh I think it was all I'm good fun. I'm from pa, we have firehall weddings with beer coolers and kegs. I didn't have one there, but I don't judge those that do, many of my friends have. It's one of those, "you know you're from pa when...." and you can laugh about it but also know it's a "home" thing if that makes sense.
@supergreen the table is gorgeous! What a nice family piece to have in your home.
Tonight I was on the floor while watching tv. Eli walked up to me, bent down, kissed me on the lips and then just got back up and returned to playing. It was the best thing ever!
I pushed our luck with a target stop after dinner tonight since Aj had a late nap and yeah...he was pissed off in the carseat all the way back to my parents and then most of the way from my parents house back home (only a 20-25 minute drive but still). Thankfully he went down easy so he better stay that way.
zarapipe I'm seriously uncomfortable watching it, but I'm going to push through because I paid $6 to watch it. But wow. I never considered myself prudish, but apparently I'm with you on this one.
DH and I went to the state fair today and it kind of sucked. I lost my driver's license somewhere in one of the barns, DH was moody and didn't want to try any of the food (also he kept pointing out how expensive things were - funsucker), and the few things we did eat/drink were not that good. We ended up going home after only 3 hours and now I am panicked about where my license might be.
glitzy07 the fast forward button cam be your friend tonight. It's a long movie too, over 3 hours if I remember right. There's only so much sex and drugs one needs to see

My kid is so awesome. He went to a rooftop bar to watch pole vaulting (don't ask) then a brewery with friends, then a bar to meet friends parents. With no whining or anything. I owe him a fun beach day or something.
I did get an older male come up to me to tell me I should be careful and move DSs water bottle and not let him walk so close to the door. Ok thanks? I mean he's really well behaved he just needs to expend some energy dude. Enjoy your effing meal.

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't have fun. H and I went yesterday and got caught in a downpour, but I was happy because I got my fried pickles. We took the boys the day before with my IL's and I'm lucky I didn't kill MIL while we were there.

Not the most fun or romantic night here. After an extra long and stressful car trip back from my parents due to an accident and cranky DS, DH is about to paint our basement and I've cleaned and organized the fridge am and now I'm doing the pantry.
White noise is amazing!! DS instantly fell asleep when I turned the sound machine from "twinkle twinkle" to ocean sounds. They moved the sound machine closer to his crib at daycare and he slept for over an hour in the crib yesterday. (That was a first) He would have slept longer but it was 5:30 and I was ready to go home!

So annoying. Last week, I had an older women at nordie's tell me DS should be in his stroller because people will take him. Um, he's right next to be walking nicely. He likes to walk. Mind your own business or tell me he's a cutie!
