I wanted to share my minimal-makeup-look FOTDs. The red shirt is yesterday, the other is Tuesday. By the time I reneged to take the Tuesday one I didn't have lip product on anymore, but it was NYX butter gloss in Tiramisu. Wednesday lipstick was Lipstick Queen in Jean Queen.
For both days, face was the same except for blush. Tuesday was Hourglass Mood Exposure, yesterday was NARS Sex Appeal.
Eyes on Tuesday were just my HG setting powders with MUFE Artist Shadow M-536 in the crease and Julep gel eye glider in smoky taupe shimmer. Mascara both days wad CG CC. Eyes on Wednesday were from the Paula's Choice Nude Mattes palette: cream on brown bone and inner corner, beige on lid, tan in crease, plum taupe to line.
Ok first, how do you love the Paula's Choice palette? I'm such a whore for her skincare.
I have a coupon code for 20% off anything at paulaschoice.com: PRC1520
Awww thanks. Hers was a lot brighter but a little too much green for me, and I didn't do the falsies. But I think one of my favorite makeup thread discoveries is learning how to apply eyeshadows in crazy colors - it's amazing how many colors you can use if you blend them well and mix with neutrals.
One tip -- It didn't stick too well to the inner corner and bottom lash, so I recommend making sure you've got primer there if you try it. I skipped primer and just smeared on Painterly as a base so I didn't get into the corners and bottom.
My FOTD and an after with the lipstick I bought tonight.
Face: Jouer moisturizing primer, Jouer luminizing moisture tint, Hourglass Dim light all over, Incandescent light on inner corner, dark circles, and tops of cheekbones. Blush is Hourglass Dim Infusion and I also put a little in my crease. Mascara is Josie Maran Argan Black Oil.
I am going to start using it tonight. I will report back in one week with my observations. If I like it, my Sephora sale purchase list will be a lot longer.
PSA- Ebates is 4% cash back. I also used the code word FRIENDS for 20% and got free shipping. Also if you want $15 off, use this link. share.olehenriksen.com/x/ST9Z67
I am excited to try it out! I have heard good things about Ole Henriksen.

And I wish I had read esf's follow up before I applied. Makes so much more sense now. I think I missed spots with my primer and the green wasn't taking nearly as well, it was frustrating.
I was super rushed this morning and was going to go for bold, bright eye shadow with purple and then it looked all wrong and I was even more rushed when I had to redo it and I still had to finish getting ready at work. Luckily, no one else is in at 7 in the morning. As long winded as I may be, I have a point. I tried out Clinique's Black Honey lipstick today and I'm really liking it. It isn't opaque but leaves a really pretty sheen that holds up fairly well (well it didn't rub off on my sandwich this morning).
And a random tip - this is probably a huge duh to some - When doing winged liner start with your off-side. So for me the right eye is very easy, the left side is hard because I'm right handed.
So I did the LEFT side first this AM, then made the right match whatever came out on the left. SO MUCH EASIER than trying to match an angle exactly on my off-side.
Is that a stencil, sticker or freehand SallyJ? If you say freehand, I'm going to be pea green with envy. It's awesome.
Freehand with a black eyeliner pencil that is intended for smudging, with some silver eyeliner added in. Don't try this at home, kids. I tossed both of liquid black eyeliners yesterday because they were dry and not working...house cleaner came and took the trash out. I only had to re-do the spider once!
Morning darkness is killing my ability for a good photo.
I'm loving my Tarte shadows. So blendable!
I bought NYX eyeshadow base in white yesterday. It really seemed to help with color. Hopefully it is long lasting too.
I also bought a UD 24/7 liner. I'm going to experiment this weekend, but I'm pretty sure it's going back. Initial observation is that it's more like a 4/1 liner.
I need help. $556 sits in my Sephora basket right now. Even with the 20% off and my redemption of $250 for $225 Discover cashback bonus in Sephora gift cards, my husband will have a cow if I spend this much. He asked me last night when I'd be done and have everything I need, bless his heart.
How can I possibly pare this down?
Also, I asked a while back for any hair care recs. I'm still interested if anyone has any
the first and second parts of this post together are cracking me up.
You wanna tell us what you're coveting and we'll help you identify priorities? I know it's not really what we do here....but I think we could make it happen.

I think you answered your own question, the Clarisonic gift set. Said you weren't married to it. My hair appt is tomorrow. I'll tell you the products she uses I love. I can't remember the brand.
