I think you answered your own question, the Clarisonic gift set. Said you weren't married to it. My hair appt is tomorrow. I'll tell you the products she uses I love. I can't remember the brand.

I just got back from Ulta was spending with my 20% coupon. I got complimented on my eye makeup twice, one person even asked if I just had it done or did it myself
I just used a sample of Alterna shampoo and conditioner from Sephora. It is amazing. I've been using Kenra and like it a lot, but my hair feels and looks fuller with the Alterna. I'm going to use the rest of the samples before purchasing to make sure it wasn't a fluke. (Wish now I hadn't bought the giant size Kenra shampoo and conditioner)

I find that a lot of times, the paparazzi's flash bulbs really make look washed out. I'd love it if you ladies had suggestions to keep my over-lifted face looking young, supple and full of life! Kris was always trying to get me to try to wash it with the blood of virgins, but that stuff is even pricier than a clarisonic!
I kinda think I need to take it lower than that. Let's shoot for a $350 total, so then it'll be like I'm only spending $100!
how much is tax where you live? Yuo're at 348 based on my mathing. Your H's moisturizer shouldn't count if you ask me....but my next thing to remove would be the Sephora eye shadow. I've never heard anything that exciting about their store brand.
or the primer and buy the nyx instead. though the smashbox works MUCH better ime.
The OH stuff is on sale 20% off at their website...not sure how that comes out with your coupons and whatnot. Also here is a referral link for another $15 since I just ordered a bunch of stuff from them. Anyone is welcome to use it. share.olehenriksen.com/x/Z5OATY
This is very helpful. Thanks! irish I really love everything I've tried, so I want to get the full sized bottles!
And wawa, I like the way you think! (about dh's lotion not counting) I gave him the sample because it smelled so "manly" to me, and he ended up really liking it.
I also think your shampoo and conditioner shouldn't count...there really aren't cheaper solutions for shampoo/conditioner like there is makeup. But that's also how we do our personal budget...
I wanted to get the DevaCurl discovery kit during the Sephora sale (because I only have the 10% off prestige brands at Ulta and I would need to get to $50 at Ulta for free shipping) and it is out of stock at Sephora. I should just order it from Ulta, since there is no telling when Sephora will have it back in stock.

Order at Ulta.
Wait to see if Sephora restocks before or during 20% off sale. Return if they do.
Given that Ulta's shipping is so slow, you may get it from Sephora before you get it from Ulta.

Problem solved.
That is brilliant. I never would have thought of that. Thanks!
My eyeshadow has noticeably worn off today. Perhaps it's the NYX base. I wouldn't normally care, except we are going out dinner so I needed to re do it.
Also, I should mention that H doesn't "get" makeup and often comments when it's on too heavy. He strangely has said nothing the last couple of weeks. So either he's keeping his mouth shut, or I'm doing a darn good job at representing real shadows.
Eta: 30 minutes from the post he commented on the "dark stuff on your eyelids. What's that called? It looks like I hit you and you tried to cover it up with makeup." Lol.

If you have any questions about DEVA let me know. I'm a DEVA addict...use all DEVA except for my conditioner. And I get DEVA cuts.
Love. Love. Love
And more love.
I actually got a sample of the conditioner with my last Sephora order and liked it, and it is something I have been wanting for a few months, probably one of the other times it has been mentioned.
Also I love all of the Halloween looks. Very cool.

You know what's funny? You are never more beautiful than when you first wake up in the morning, all rumpled, sleepy, content, and sexy. But I still love hearing about your new makeup discoveries.

OMG, I bought a Nars Audacious (in Barbara) today...it feels amazing, most especially since it's matte(ish)! I seem to be allergic to a lot of lip products, so my fingers are crossed that this one works out.
My other MUT purchase was the Naked Skin foundation. While it looks gorgeous on the side of my face, my t-zone is pretty patchy and is really showing my dry spots. secretlyevil what do you wear underneath it? A primer or just moisturizer? I used a face scrub before applying this morning, as well as HG mineral veil. I think I need something super hydrating underneath. It really does hide redness well, and doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all.
I was taking about patchy foundation at the Nars counter at Bloomingdales (since I have the same issue with Sheer Glow), and she recommended Clarins Flash Balm, and made me a sample from her own stash! Does anyone here use that?

Thanks for the recommendations!
On an everyday basis, I just use moisturizer. I use Time Balm primer on days I'm going to be putting my make up through the paces. I have combo skin. My current moisturizer is CeraVe.
I hope this isn't creepy, but I really like your MU looks. Such a glowy, natural look. So for your cheeks...what do you use to apply? Because I feel like everything I try that is a lighter shade never shows on my skin, and I wonder if it's my application. I have seen some luck using my fan brush though.
Also, what kind of skin do you have? Dry, normal or oily? Bc the Jouer has been on my list a long time but I can't seem to pull the trigger. I have oily, annoying skin and require hard core mattefying products that will still last maybe half the day.
Thank you! Not creepy at all, I'm flattered.
I use a Sonia Kashuk blush brush. I tap/press it on the product and blend like crazy. Sometimes I'll do a second layer for a very light blush. I was doing too much blush for a while there so I'm liking the pale blushes now that I have to build up.
I have pretty dry skin. I don't know how moisturizing the Jouer TM is, but it's definitely not mattifying. They have a matte TM that actually has pretty nice coverage and a good finish. I received a sample from Birchbox and when I want a little more coverage I'll mix a drop in with my regular TM.
Holy grail products for me: Jane Iredale PurePressed Mineral Base, Jane Iredale pressed powder blush in Cheekie, Maybelline Full N' Soft WP mascara, Smashbox Eyeshadow Trios, and NARS lipsticks (lately, in Damage).
It's the 1st so I'm going to do my empty reviews! And I propose doing them this way: first of the month, people review their empties, if you have them.
1. Algenist anti aging moisturizer: NO. Smells like medicine and didn't notice any of the benefits they claimed. Came in the Sephora sun safety bag.
2. Clinique clarifying lotion 2: YES. Already have a new bottle. I feel like it evens the appearance of my skin.
3. Tarte Maracuja Oil: YES. I use it at night. My face feels amazing in the AM. This was a 100 pt freebie from Sephora and this tiny tiny bottle lasted maybe 8 months!?!! Anyway already repurchased the full size but this time opted for the roller ball version because it's slightly more convenient.
Eta:
- the Clinique was ordered as part of their 3 step face solution. The "clarifying lotion" (aka toner) was the first to run out. The other two products will last forever, even with heavy use. Still the toner lasted well over 6 months.
- in addition I read "Maracuja oil" is just a geneic word for some sort of plant based oil that you can buy for way cheaper through a oil wholesaler. When I need to reorder again, I will explore this route.
