Did the VIBs and Rouges get the email about the gift bag? There is some really good stuff! I want the one with the Black Honey sample. I am think I am going to make an advance purchase outside of the sale so I can get it as I've decided its worth a few bucks to me.
Also a question - can anyone tell me how Tarte Exposed compares to Mood Exposure in the hourglass palette? I think forreals has both, maybe others.

Tarte exposed is a pinky nude and has decent pigmentation. It's a little too easy for me to overdo. Hourglass Mood Exposure is more plum, sheerer, and much more glowy/luminous. I'll try to swatch both and post a pic.

ESF Top is Hourglass Mood Exposure, bottom is Tarte Exposed. In both photos. Sorry for the funky cropping, I had to reduce the photo size to be able to upload.

Awesome, thank you!
I have been leaning towards this splurge, but the deal breaker for me would have been if those two shades were similar since i have Exposed. I didn't think to do a comparison when I was in the store. This is so helpful! I think I'm going to go for it.
For those who didn't get the email --
There are three sample bags to choose from. It says that VIBs and VIB Rouge get early access to the bags, so I think it will be opened up to everyone later.
I will try to take screen shots so you can see what's in the bags. Hold on.

Thanks! The code worked but the picture of the bags is so small on my screen I can't see whats in them!
ESF you're welcome! I much prefer the Hourglass blush. Exposed is a bit too warm/too close to the natural redness in my cheeks so I end up feeling overwhelmed by it easily. Mood Exposure is just so darn pretty, I'm in love with it.

I bought the Tarte holiday blush palette and the Vice 3 palette yesterday. They are both so pretty and the UD shadows are ridiculously creamy. I only used them once and I already love them.

Look at you hitting all that pan:) I like mood exposure more too. I think I really like blushes that are a bit more sheer as I otherwise overdo it. I like exposed too and because of the color of it can go less clown-like than with some other tarte blushes.

Awesome.
I also prefer sheer blushes, and I particularly like the ones that seem to fall into a more nude camp that add more glow than color.
This palette is now on my sale list. Along with B&B hairdressers oil shampoo and condition, and the Marc Jacobs Skyliner set. I can't say I won't also be throwing in a couple Bite minis or that Josie Maran lip stain.
I also just purchased some OH Walnut Scrub and a $1 hair tie to get the VIB bag with Black Honey and the Tarte Exposed lip gloss.

Yeah, I've had it for longer than I realized! It was the first Tarte blush I bought. I do still love it, but need to remember to use a very light hand with it.
My Pumpkin & Poppy order came today. I have some stuff to do this afternoon (like take a nap), and then I'll do a comparison. I'm thinking swatches, then side by side half face with the Hourglass?
I think I might get the besame violet powder now that it is back in stock in order to get one of those bags. Anyone have it? Thoughts on it?
Oh I forgot about that stuff. Yes! Get that! I probably won't get that during the sale, but I will consider buying during another Sephora holiday special so I'd love to hear a review.
Do you also have the ambient lighting powder? Because I'd be interested in knowing how it compares to that as a finishing powder.
And on that note, pixy0stix I am so excited for the great Hourglass/P&P comparison. I like your proposed plan.

I have the palette and definitely like it. I can see myself hitting pan on dim light. (I think that's the name but I am fairly bad with product name recall). The highlighter is beautiful and I use it almost daily. The bronzer is a touch warm for me I think. I think it would be a super pretty blush on you. I've tried it like that but think it might be too warm. I should post a photo some time. I think dim light might be a hair dark for me now that I have my winter skin.
I am super excited for pixy0stix review. That will save me money next time around if it favorable!

Why is it suddenly feeling like we're the same people?? I've just started to hit pan on Dim Light in the palette and I love Incandescent Light (the highlighter). Radiant Light is a bit too sparkly and dark for my skin this time of year though. I'm also interested in seeing Pixy's review/side by side because a cheaper alternative would be fantastic.
I'm going to Ulta today with my 20% coupon and I will very likely walk out with Vice 3. So much love for that palette here.
Also I was R2D2 ballerina and had to re-do my make-up from the work day in about 10 minutes. Lighting was terrible because the eyeshadow was really more blue like my blue eyeshadow look below. I almost forgot to take pics of my makeup...so I'm in my pajamas.
But it was much more blue like this:
And my costume. My daughter said, "Mommy you are so creative, I really like what you did with your R2D2 costume." Her friend said, 'Your mom is H2O, right?":

Now you're making me want to keep both of these after I decided to return them.

Review:
I primed my face with Smashbox primer and nothing else. I wanted to see how the powders did with just skin to work with. I can definitely tell which side has P&P powders. It has a shimmery sheen on that side. The HG powders do a better job in disappearing and working with your skin. They look more natural. As you can see, the side I used P&P on has a red patch and larger pores. The powders really did nothing to hide that (which I'm not expecting from powders just alone).
I asked DH which side he liked better (under a lightbulb). He couldn't tell the difference.
Result: I don't know. I know the P&P powders are supposed to be dupes, but there's a big difference in the shimmer factor. If you have the money, I'd definitely spring for the HG palette. If not, the P&P powders are nice, and it's likely no one else would notice the difference between the two.
I really want a small palette that has a couple neutral shadows and a blush (pink specifically). Does such a thing exist? Bonus if I can get it at sephora during the sale

The Bare Minerals palette was recently reviewed by Emily Noel and she liked it. That palette has one of my favorite blushes, Natural High. A goldy pink. LOVE.

I have a relatively small collection to people here so I use that to justify my purchases. When you consider the sizes of the Tarte blushes and the fact that they break down to being drugstore prices AND that I had a gift card that paid for them, I totally think the UD palette was worth it. I essentially had no bright shadows before this though, so these are definitely something new and exciting for me.
