It actually never occurred to me to sing. Probably for the best. I was recently belting out Love is an Open Door and my five year old asked me to sing quieter.
I used to sing Silent Night when I held/rocked them. Once they turned 2... i just snuggle and sing sillies like "you are my sunshine" "i love you, a bushel and a peck" "Mr. Moon" I will still sing Silent Night if they aren't feeling well and I'm really in there for a calm-down session.
There's a ... not super child-appropriate ... old song with our future baby's name, and I have to stop myself from singing it already. I'm totally going to do it, I know it.
H already sings the baby Wagon Wheel and Blackbird. Mostly because he likes playing those on the guitar.
This is newish in our house. My DH will get out the guitar and play along and sing songs at bedtime now sometimes. We have to do it before books, because it gets the kids excited and happy to sing to the guitar. We're like the VonTrapps over here!

All.The. Time
for months its been let it go from frozen. (I shamefully know all the lyrics to) but today they wanted the "there's a hole bucket dear Liza" song. and that is from their kids car cd. I was really surprised when DH said that he had never heard before. mind=blown I remember that song from when I was a kid. I'll sing what ever is requested for the night it is our routine : read a story sing a song. I still hold/rock/get in her bed and snuggle dd#2 (she's 5 now) occasionally when I do ten little ducks because it was her fav when she was little and she is such a mama's girl.
I sang Daisy " A you're adorable" religiously when she was a baby to somewhere past 2. It was part of her bedtime/naptime routine and I swear that song would make her sleepy just hearing it.
Clara really liked " Daisy, Daisy-Bicycle Built for two". It was sweet and I honestly think she thought we were just singing about her sister:). Her hero worship is still going strong.
Awe - my H's grandmother used to sing "Daisy, Daisy " to him when he was little.
