We have a boy and I could tell right away, before the tech told us. They started with a 4D ultrasound first, so maybe that helped? I noticed the balls before the penis. They were.... bigger? than I expected.
Not at all. 2 girls. At a later ultrasound I asked them to specifically show me what they were looking at I was so confused. To be fair though, there's a lot going on in there with twins.

I was pretty sure DD was a girl before the tech told us but not positive. H and I both looked at each other during our elective u/s with DS before the tech said anything because we very clearly saw a penis.

I had several u/s during the pregnancy since I was high-risk and the tech was always very careful to avoid the area and/or turn the screen or tell me to turn away when she was scanning around the parts. Though since she was a girl I am wondering if I would have figured it out by not seeing a penis or if I would have thought the cord was a penis, but even with the other shots I had trouble figuring out what was what. I still don't understand the 3-line thing even after looking at a zillion Google images lol.

The first time I wouldn't have know what to look for, but the second time it was pretty obvious. The tech was building it up, like "Are you readdyyy...?" And I was sitting there thinking, "Well, that's clearly a penis."

Yes, I could tell. The tech started at the head and as he worked his way down he asked if we were finding out. When he got down there, boom, penis. It was hard to miss.
We were team green with DS1. The OB Had us turn away from the screen when he looked at the genitals. Later in the scan he moved over them and we both thought we saw a penis but it was quick and we weren't sure.
With DS2 she got whatever measurements she needed my bladder to be full for and told us he was a boy, then let me go pee and come back to finish the scan. She was very nice.
we aren't allowed to see the parts, so I have no idea if I'd be good at this game! we wanted to know so the tech wrote it in the report and we found out from our midwife days later. h tried really hard to look for it when we got our 5 second peek at the end of the formal a/s, but she just avoided that region. damn Canada and it's laws.

It wasn't clear and the tech wouldn't make a guess. We paid for a gender determination at a 3d place and they couldn't tell either. Found out for sure at a growth ultrasound at 36 weeks. I have a girl.

Nope. We have a boy and a girl, and they both had their cords right between their legs. For DD the tech had to get her to wiggle around a bit, but it was more clear DS had something else there- although not immediately noticeable for me.

Wow. BC must be different from Ontario. The tech showed us that she couldn't see because baby had her legs closed. At the 36w us they also showed me very clearly.
I only found out for #2 & 4. But honestly I saw that DD3 was a girl in the A/S so I pretty much knew. It was a good thing because I had some GD and had gotten over it before she was born.
I was convinced I saw a dong, and then convinced I saw the "three line" hamburger thing. Apparently I thought I was going to have a hermaphrodite. And then the tech pointed out the girl parts.

During all of our ultrasounds the tech has had the screen tipped toward her for the scan then after she has all she measurements she needs she would turn the screen to us. When we were in team green pregnancies, she avoided the mid-section completely and just showed us the head and then the feet. No worries about slip ups.
You all are better than I, because I was staring straight at baby boy junk and was talking about this "hand." I would have been none the wiser if we hadn't elected to be told.
Also - the tech put an arrow and little banner that said "it's a boy!" on the boy bits.
It made me really uncomfortable - not so much the arrow, the fact that the arrow was TOUCHING it.
