Annabelle was up three times last night. There is a reason she is 7 months old and weighs 25 lb. I am so sleepy.
My mom called last night and wants to visit next week, we kind of had to say yes, bc she is always willing to come when we need childcare. I feel bad that I sort of wanted to say no, just bc a houseguest during the week is rough. But I said yes enthusiastically, she really is wonderful to us, and I like having her around .
@tambcat, can you tell me what the old nestie woctar (or something like that) did? Was she an evil troll?
DD is a major grump this morning. Probably from waking up at 5:20am. I think I'm going to have to cancel our play date later because her misery apparently knows no bounds.

Pumpkin spice English muffins are delicious!
I've had many people (church workers, mdo teacher, etc,) tell me in the past couple of weeks how well behaved and involved G is in a classroom setting. I'm a bit concerned they're setting us up for a massive 2.5 yr old terrible two explosion or jinxing us for a spitfire little sister, lol. He IS an angel in those settings...I think we might be raising a teacher's pet. Oops.
I left the house 20 min early to have time to stop at Starbucks before work. There was construction. Not only did I not get Starbucks but I was also late getting to work
My kids were up a lot last night too. It was bizzare. The weather is super weird here, though. Very damp. That's usually when my allergies are at their worst. But I've been great about taking my allergy meds, so I'm not seeing my own Sx. But maybe my kids are feelin' it. Maybe I'll try some Zyrtec tonight.
Does anyone know about Zyrtec? As in, do you have to take it everyday? Or will it work immediately?

I had DS on Claritin for a month. He took it everyday back in May. Jury is still out on whether it was allergies or he just had a bad cough that wouldn't go away.
I kinda want to POAS. But I don't think I will. I did at 8dpo and it was negative. I have zero signs except maybe a little boob soreness, and I think I might be imagining it. My period is supposed to start Saturday so I think I'll just hold out. I don't want to see another negative, lol. Anyways, it was our first month trying and we didn't really try that hard. If not this month I'll get serious next cycle.
It is conference week at school, so I worked from 6:30-8:00 yesterday and will be doing the same thing today. I am soooooo freaking tired!! And of course, somebody is out and we also have to cover lunch which means that we have zero breaks today.
FFWC: my kids are working quietly at their desks and I am probing, so I kind of made my own break!

Well, I want to beg you to POAS, but I understand, if the potential dissappointment isn't worth it.
Our photographer emailed me last night and said she is running behind because her kids have been sick. I think she is a SAHM during the day, so I get it. I am bummed though because I would have had my photos yesterday! Wah.
Today I opened up the sugar free Peppermint Mocha Coffeemate. I love it so much! I know it's terrible for me, but I can't help it.
Do you do the liquid? I know there are dissolvable tabs, but they say for 6+. I have to admit, I hate cleaning syringes! I think Edie can drink out of the little cup now, but I'm not sure about Adeline. Especially if she hates the taste.
Our pedi prefers Zyrtec too. I'm not sure why. I, myself, take Claritin because it's cheaper.

I LOVE this creamer! I don't use sugar free, but I love it so much! I save it for November 1st. Right now I have the pumpkin creamer.

I'm ready for this week to be over. I feel like that every week. I'm tired of feeling like that.
I am sorry, do you at least have your DH around some this weekend?
On Sunday. He's working all day on Saturday. One day a week isn't enough for me to get any bit of recharge. I go in waves. Sometimes, it's not so bad. Other times, like this week, I'm just done.

I am going to google some homemade recipes today. I am trying to give up artificial sweeteners but I don't wannnnnaaaaa.
We were up at 6:30 to get to Emerson's MRI this morning. I hate how they strap her down for the imaging, but at least it was quick and I could stay with her. We're waiting to see the neurosurgeon right now.

We all need more of a break than that. You are doing such a great job, seriously, I am so impressed. I would complain a lot more than you do, having to solo parent so much and juggling A's crazy schedule.

I have three applications due today and still haven't gotten the letters of recommendation from my final reference. Yesterday she told me she'd get it to me last night.
This week is so draining. One of my students was diagnosed with cancer and another one lost her mom to a long battle with a head injury (car accident). Life is really unfair sometimes.
Today is DH 30th birthday and I have to work all night for open house. Blah. I'm trying to stay positive for the kids here and thankful for the good things we do have. I always wish I had a magic wand to fix things.
In high school, we had big sister/little sister. Sophomores, juniors and seniors could sign up and be assigned a freshman as their little sister. When I was a senior, I had a freshman that was a little bit of an oddball, but a total sweetheart. We've stayed in touch over the years (via FB, mostly). I found out yesterday she died last week. I think it was suicide. My heart is so sad.
MY dad got his surgery date, it's 11/11.... So soon. I'm terrified. It's a Tuesday. I'm trying to figure out when to go down. If anyone has experience, please advise. Is it better/more helpful to go day of surgery, day before... A few days later?
