When people have an opinion on hair , clothes, etc. I always try to remember they aren't saying they don't like YOU or they don't like your kid or they don't like your child's hair even. They aren't even saying they don't think your kid with long hair isn't cute... They just aren't into long hair.
For instance, the thought of pink makes me cringe. Especially powder pink. If E ever wants a bedroom this color I might vomit and have an anxiety attack. It doesn't mean I don't think pink rooms or clothes aren't pretty.
I'm not a fan of pink. I knew if we were having a little girl that we would get so many punk outfits since there are no girls in our family and I would cringe. They can be cute, but I don't want nonstop pink.
We joined the Frozen craze much later than every one else (DH DVR'd it on July 12th) and I was pretty underwhelmed.
The whole story just has so many flaws and I just can't deal with that! I don't like how Hans seemed like he was legit into Anna and then they just decided half way through to change him to a villain. It just screams poor writing/planning. Like how they show him smile sheepishly after she left when he was in the water before the coronation? She wasn't looking so if he was doing that, it was legit. My DH tells me not to read so much into the movie but I can't stop!
And, seriously, did Elsa and Anna not talk for 3 years?
I could go on and on but don't have much time before work.
I kept coming back to this!!! I'm pretty good at seeing where the plot is going, but that whole falling in the water part is when we should have seen a glimpse of his evil self!

Everyone already knows this, but it bothers me way more than it should that my kids don't have my dark brown hair. I love my hair color so much. I am so vain when it comes to this.
Everyone also knows that I would happily accept any color hair over very little hair... which is what my children also have lol. WHYYYY. I'm totally going to unintentionally give them a hair complex.

I HATE the bangs I had as a toddler. My mom cut them so wide, but I feel like I am inadvertently creating the same or at least very similar bangs in Natalie. They were a lot thicker before like in my sig pic, but my cousin cut them so they would be a little thinner. I think they are a little better now.
I've only heard little bits of the song that goes, "I'm all about the bass." And it's absolutely horrible. I know I'm not into much current pop music, but I don't see how that song could have ever become popular.
I will never understand pop music popularity. Like how the heck is Kesha making money? And a she was even a judge on a singing competition!

I have a toddler haircut and I'm in denial. However, when talking to toddlers with this haircut, I bring up that we have the same haircut in hopes we can be bros.

I think lolaburns hit the nail on the head. Long hair on boys looks great if they have thick hair with some texture. I think if Dylan's hair was long he would look like Kid Rock. Not a good look for a toddler IMO.
well **I** don't like people who have brown hair, are short and have two children, care a lot about clothes and nice pictures and drinking fancy green juices. Those people, are people I don't like AT ALL.
just wondering if what someone said recently about how they'd never gbcn no matter what is true

Sounds a lot like you're looking in a mirror, missy! Well, maybe take the part out about the pictures .

I had very little hair as a baby. My mother thought I was always going to be bald or have thin hair.
I currently have glorious thick and shiny hair in a lovely color (I'm also very vain about my hair. I have excellent hair)
I'm not sure if I ever told you about me being a baldy baby/toddler (it started to come in when I was around 3) but there's hope!!

I DID NOT KNOW THIS! You have great hair in a great color! Aka, the same color as mine (heart)
@chelsmonster I just don't get the point of making it about feelings being hurt/taking it personally. It makes it so hard to share opinions.
i wish I were so breezy!
I don't like people with brown hair!* but don't take it personally, it's just my opinion!
* not an actual opinion.
It's not about being breezy!
I mean, you made a tongue in cheek example of brown hair. What if I then made a post saying "it's hard not to take that personally." :/. I mean, come on!

those are a lot different though than what ladybug said. Saying you don't like people with brown hair is a lot different then saying you don't like brown hair. Also color of hair is a born with feature which is different than style preference.
I feel like I vaguely remember a discussion about whether parents should pick out their toddlers clothes or allow them to pick themselves/allow them to wear hideous combinations etc. That may have been on ML though
anyway sometimes Matilda says Nooo I don't want to wear that! I want to wear THIS! and I just ignore her
I mean, I don't even care that much about clothes but no she isn't wearing a pair of orange leggings and a pink shirt. No.

I love love long hair on all children, boys and girls. I regret cutting Js, I couldnt grow it out again, the texture is not right for long hair. Its not flowy like laynes or lightly curled like colins.., its like...carpet. im never going to cut Vivvys hair....like ever and I dont care who doesnt like it!

Haha I felt that way too until the other day she had a huge tantrum about wearing a shirt over a dress so I just let her. Wasn't worth it and we were late!

I didn't read all of it but I'm guessing the difference is the I don't like brown hair vs I don't like people with brown hair. Just because someone doesn't like sweatpants in toddlers doesn't mean they don't like toddlers that wear sweatpants. There are sooo many things that I do or have that I think the majority of this board doesn't like for themselves but I don't think that means they don't like me personally because it it. I get what you are saying though that it's hard not to take a little offense to someone saying they don't like something that reflects you or your child though.
