I have it set to record, too, and I'm going to do my best to watch it live. I hope it's good. I think this will go over better than The Sound of Music, because most people are already familiar with the Mary Martin tv version.
i have a lot of feels about this and probably can't watch.
as a kid i remember wanting so badly to watch the peter pan with julie andrews (i think) as peter pan. my mom made a big deal about it and my dad had me for visitation that weekend and my mom made sure he knew i needed to watch it. so he put it on and within the first 20 minutes, got in a fight with his GF and the cops got called. i ended up crying on the couch while the cop tried to make me feel better. and i have never seen PP since.

I'm so sorry MW.
H will be at a football game, and I know he's secretly sad to be missing it, LOL. I will be in my jammies, drinking spiked hot chocolate, and hoping it's way better than Sound of Music.
DS saw the ad for it last night and really wants to watch, so we will. If it's not better than the Sound of Music, I will be in the other room finding something else to do while he watches.
I have always found all things Peter Pan mildly disturbing, to be honest. Theres something creepy about the whole gig. Maybe its because of Pantomime. Maybe its Peter often being played by a girl. Maybe its the story. All I know is I think its creepy and have felt like that since I was a kid lol.

Oh it's definitely creepy. Like Willy Wonka, or Wizard of Oz. You know, the typical creepy childhood classics.
I grew up watching the Mary Martin version on VHS over and over and over, so I'm super excited. I won't watch it tonight though b/c I want to watch it with DD and she has gymnastics.
Um... you misread the thread, this is "groupthink" and we need to all agree and viserate anyone who doesn't agree. So, jump in and agree to watch or we'll call a mod.

OH! ::says in robotic voice:: I will watch the Peter Pan overlord master.
Feels good to get everyone in line. Now who is our actual CEP majority whip b/c she needs to keep working on Lys a little more?
Ooo... can we have elections and get a CEP President and then at least two senators from every state? I'm a shoe-in for one of the Senators since only one other person on here is from MT!

@majorwife - it was Mary Martin in the original televised production of the musical.
I really with that the legit Broadway talent (Christian Borle and Kelli O'Hara) were bigger roles. It was the same situation with The Sound Of Music. I will still be recording it.

I'm here. I've never really enjoyed it and Peter Pan himself is fairly annoying.
