I was going to post an excuse about how I want to, but life will be crazy since my next exam is at the end of January. Then I realized that these excuses are why I currently weigh as much as I do. I need to join in.

WinterWinechangedname It's a modest buy in ($25-35), and you need to lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. Winners split the pot, minus the dietbet site fee (I think it's 3%?) Weigh ins consist of taking a full length photos and a photo of the scale with the word of the day write on a card.
I'm setting up a 4 week bet--I'll post the link shortly.

It says that the weigh out date is Jan 29. I can't remember exactly how this works. Is Jan 29 the first or last day to weigh out? We leave on a trip to Punta Cana on Jan 28 and I would love to get in on this if possible.
Yeah I'm wondering how it works too. I don't need to lose weight but need accountability/motivation to get my ass to the gym and get in shape.
I'd recommend not doing it then. That's a lot to lose in 4 weeks if you're close to goal.
Yep, I'll sit out as this isn't the right fit for me. But best of luck to you ladies. I think I need to start paying a $2 fee per day of gym skipped or something. Money is my motivator...

I joined this and the Jan 1 transformer (6 month). I had gained back everything I lost before.
I'm in a really similar place. I joined another transformer 4 months ago, and I think I have gained weight and not lost. I am still down 20 pounds from when I started, but these 10 pounds I gained are really, really hard to swallow, since I worked so hard on losing the weight. I'm thinking of joining another transformer, too, since that will put me at my goal weight. Which one did you join?

What behavioral changes are people planning on making?
I think I really need to do a whole30 but I'm afraid of failing miserably because it would be such a drastic change. I think for jan we will:
-cut out all booze and diet soda for 1 mo then reevaluate -9-10 glasses of water a day -follow the "fill your plate with veggie" rule and use starches as a garnish. -try to replace dessert and junky snacks with herbal tea and maybe a small piece of dark chocolate (being realistic!) -gym 3x week (I've stopped all together) -track everything!

We are going to try Whole30. It does seem like it will be difficult, but my husband and I deaprately need to change our lifestyle. I have been looking into recipes and a lot of them do look good and don't seem too far off from what we would normally eat. It's just the no sugar and no dairy that is going to be the hardest.
