Gorgeous mountain views, a great "hippy" liberal vibe to the city despite being in the South(ish), fantastic locally owned restaurants, and some of the nicest people I have ever met.
Hmm - I also just described Asheville, NC - but that's not where I live.
The climate; we have four solid seasons which I love. Summers are hot with huge lakes to boat on. Winters are snowy but fairly mild with lots of ski areas. There are also great vineyards. It's really beautiful.
I like our neighborhood. It's in the city and close to everything, great neighborhood for walking around, the houses are all cool looking. It looks gorgeous in the fall and the city collects the leaves!

Just described Seattle too, except you forgot the water views and we're PNW.
Cost of living and so much opportunity. I fucking love my city. I drive around sometimes and just marvel about how fantastic it is, especially the area around where I live. Gorgeous.
It's the city that never sleeps! We are a melting pot, so you can get any type of cuisine you like. The culture and vibe can be completely different within a few miles.
This is all making me want to move! In my immediate neighborhood it's the wildlife refuge across the street, it's a beautiful place to walk. Generally speaking, close to beaches (which I don't go to,) a not too bad train ride to NYC, and foodies always seem to find good places to eat.
Awesome downtown area by the river. In the summer, at night, they shut down some of the streets and all the bars/restaurants put tables on the street and have live music for no cover charge. They also have a stage and concert area with outdoor concerts on weekends.
We also have some beautiful forest preserves and hiking trails for where we live.
