1. 2 (friends/family combo and work). 2. 2 (Target and Buy Buy Baby) 3. 49 and 66 4. Auto rock and play, pack and play, and snap and go stroller 5. I had a really expensive stroller on there, but then deleted it and we bought a similar one ourselves on a big sale.

1. How many are you having? One shower and one "Sip And See" after Baby arrives
2. How many places are you registered, and where? BBB and Target
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! Over 115 at BBB and 35 at Target - should I be ashamed at this high quantity? I put EEERRRRYYYYTHING on the BBB one. Lots of variety, about 3/4 are under $50 (actually, most of that are under $20
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? Big ticket items like the carrier/stroller combo, the P&P, and the video monitor.
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Frivolous? I'm unsure. I kinda just went for it and added. everything that caught my eye. Oh, the body carrier thing (can't remember what they're called) is the super expensive one.

You bitch ...I'm trying to work on my comp exams and should not be posting here, how dare you post a topic that I would love to talk about at my shower is next weekend and it's the only thing that is giving me any hope of making it through this awful, awful, stupid test
1. How many are you having? Only 1, I suggested combining as my MIL doesn't have anyone to plan with and I didn't want to burden my mom too much while she is going through chemo treatment and my sister is thoughtful but poor so will greatly benefit from having the moms finance it while she can focus on the fun stuff. There will be about 50 people there on Superbowl Sunday so I need to tear through some freakin gifts so people can leave early if they want to!!!
2. How many places are you registered, and where? 2, well i guess 3. I am Babies R Us, Amazon, and bedding on Land of Nod (though I have it linked to the amazon account). Suprinsgly, most of registry purchases so far have been online through Babies r Us. I really thought the online people would stick with amazon and the brick/mortar people would shop in store at Babies r Us. As a result, I keep shifting things from Amazon to Babies R Us (fine by me, because at least I earn the registry rewards through BRU). But some things are SO MUCH cheaper on amazon so I leave them there. Plus all the cloth diaper stuff I need is on amazon as well.
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! About 75 on each
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? The furniture that the moms bought for us, my Britax travel system that my friends chipped in on, and Aden and Anais swaddle blankets that noone seems to be buying.
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? A chew beads necklace for myself

1. How many are you having? I had 2 the past 2 weekends (one hosted by my sister/mom/aunt and one by my friends)
2. How many places are you registered, and where? Just Target. Technically we have a registry at BRU and Amazon, but that was mostly for the discount.
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! I can't remember the exact number but it was 80 something!
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? Hmm.. I'm not sure. Obviously I wanted everything on there but I have to admit I was hoping for some of the more expensive things so we didn't have to buy them, haha. We did actually get most of those things (travel system, PnP, high chair, etc but we bought a crib and dresser). I think the things I wanted but didn't get were the Bumbo seat, Diaper Genie, and the activity saucer. I think we'll buy the Diaper Genie but not the other items, at least not yet.
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Maybe a Moby wrap? My mom did get a carrier but I think it's for older babies, not for infants. I wanted something to use for an infant. Those things are kinda expensive and not a necessity IMO, so probably the most frivolous. I doubt I will buy this for myself unless I see a really good deal!
1. How many are you having? Two are scheduled, but my colleagues at work will probably have one for me too.
2. How many places are you registered, and where? Two - Buy Buy Baby and Target.

4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? Rock N Play, quick zip sheet set, and a mobile that matches my theme.
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Probably the Ubbi diaper pail. My mom about fainted when she saw how much it was. But I want it!
I would not call the Ubbi frivolous! It is absolutely amazing! 10 months and have never had any stink, can use your own trash bags so saves on diaper genie refills. We are getting a second for this baby to have downstairs.

The ubbi is absolutely amazing. That's all the value I can add here. Lol.
3. No idea since it was 3 yes ago but prob 50ish at one and 30ish at the other.
4. Stroller for sure. I still love my Britax.
5. Video monitor maybe? No one bought it for us which was fine. We ended up buying one when my son was 3ish months old.
I did have a small sprinkle about a month ago but was just gifted girl clothes. I do have an amazon registry this time but that's just for the completion coupon.
1. One small one my sister is throwing. We have small families so it is just a few friends. I doubt my work will do anything.
2. So far just Babies R Us. I should look into completion discounts to see if I should set up another.
3. I think there are like 20 things on our registry. It is most for the discount. I need to go back and put some small things on it in case anyone uses it for the shower.
4. The registry is mostly for us. So I guess the stuff we need like the car seat, car seat bases and crib stuff.
5. We put some cute decor stuff on there. I particularly love this pink giraffe stuffed animal. Definitely not a need!
I'm glad to hear that the Ubbi is good! My H has no idea of how much it is or that it's even on there thank goodness... he'd just as soon use a cardboard box for a diaper pail since it's free.. lol!
Wow, I had no idea babies needed that much stuff! I don't even know where to start beyond crib, car seat, and diapers. So much research...
They definitely don't need that much stuff. It was overwhelming when I first began thinking about what to register for. What we ended up doing was H and I went to the store, put some stuff on the registry that we liked at first sight, then went home and researched what we picked and made changes from there. We did research online into the big items (carseats, strollers, etc.) then went back to the store to try them out in person.

1. How many are you having? I'll have a big shower of our families and friends (about 60 people), and work will probably have one for me, I work in a very small office.
2. How many places are you registered, and where? Babies R Us and PB Kids
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! About 120 on BRU and 20 on PBK
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? Well my MIL is buying our stroller and I picked out the Uppababy vista 2015. I wouldn't spend that on myself so I'm excited for it. Oddly the other things I hope for are the humidifier and white noise machine. They aren't cutesy so people may not buy them but I really want them.
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Hmmm I don't think much is frivolous. Baby needs stuff!
If you already have had them, think about these questions in the past tense!
1) probably having 2. One that DH's family is throwing for me, one up here at our place with friends the first weekend in march (at least that what my friend who is hosting had come up with for a date) Work may or may not have something small. I can see DH's group at work doing something for him and our friend (they are due a week before us)
2) 1 place, amazon
3) 155 or so??? there are A LOT of books on there. that is where the huge number comes from
4) bob revolution flex (in lagoon), which i bought for myself. the snugakitty rock and play, the baby monitor w/2 cameras
5) the item that is actually on my registry: probaby the Ubbi. My diaper bag was the most frivilous item I have purchased in over 4 years. I used my fun money and Christmas money for it and DH's first thought when he saw it was "it's not even leather" But it's exactly what I wanted.
1. How many are you having? 2, possibly 3 if work does one. For my last coworker who had a baby, we had a small shower and all chipped in for a gift card, so I am thinking they might do something similar for me.
2. How many places are you registered, and where? 3. We registered at Target for our shower in PA, and just put on a bunch of small/lightweight stuff since we had to fly back with it. That worked out pretty well. Whatever didn't get purchased from that registry, I added to BRU or Amazon, which are the registries my sister is telling people about for our local shower. I might add a few things back to Target after the shower for the completion discount, depending on what's left that we need.
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! 40-45 each on Amazon and BRU. I think about 20 things were purchased from Target. So about 100 total.
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? I made our registries more as a shopping list than a wish list, so really just about everything I want/need. Someone already bought our crib, which I wasn't expecting but am very happy about! I also wouldn't mind BRU gift cards so we can use them toward the glider. It's $400 so I don't expect anyone to buy it. The other two things that I think I'd be happiest about are the video monitor, and a light fixture that I put on Amazon for the nursery. The light fixture won't apply for the completion discount, so I'd rather have someone buy that for us than a baby-related thing that I can save 15% on later!
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Probably the Ergo Performance, which of course my sister bought because she wanted to buy something "fun".
1. 1 shower with friends and family and a mini shower at work.
2. Buy Buy Baby and Amazon
3. I kept changing things around a lot, so I'm not totally sure--maybe 50 on Amazon and 60 at BBB?
4. DH really wanted a Citi Mini which my family bought us--we found a good deal on one that was a different color than his preferred, but he was psyched.
Not sure what I wanted the most. My mom got us a really nice crib mattress and MIL for the fancy baby monitors. This were both cool. I'm probably most excited about the glider I ordered that I haven't gotten in yet. It's SO comfortable.
5. Probably then video monitors. They are pretty cool though.

1. How many are you having? I had one last weekend, but it included everyone, may have a small one at work
2. How many places are you registered, and where? BuyBuy Baby and Babies R Us. I wish I'd done Pottery Barn Kids too because I ended up buying a bunch and would've liked the discount. Target would've been good too
3. How many items are on each of your registries? Be honest! about 50 items at each, but I had about 50 people at my shower.
4. What 3 things are you most coveting from your registries? I wanted the car seat, snap n go stroller, and fancy baby monitor, got all three
5. What do you think the most frivolous thing on your registry is? Keekaroo high chair. I just threw it on there figuring if someone bought it, cool, but if not, no big deal.

Consider making an Amazon registry for the Keekaroo. I priced stalked it until the price dropped and used the completion discount and got one with the infant insert for $160.

Serious question: for those of you with 100+ items on a registry, what on earth are you registering for? I just can't even see how we would get that high. Are you asking for things you will need 6-12 months from now?

I am. I put a high chair on there, an umbrella stroller, and even a convertible car seat (I don't expect to get it, but I thought I could try to combine sales and registry completion discounts to get a deal). It seems like things add up fast when you have a few sheets, a few sets of waterproof changing pad covers, a few sets of onesies and swaddles, a few sets of safety things like furniture anchors and outlet covers, etc.

We only have 80 something but we did have more before I started editing it down so I'll respond - for us yes, a lot of it was stuff for later. We registered for sippy cups, a high chair, utensils, etc for when he's older. I would assume that's partially what people are registering for. We also didn't have a monitor on ours because my mom bought us one before we even started registering. I think books and clothes are some other things people register for. We had a few books and clothing items, but didn't do a ton of them.
