Um, I haven't picked up dog poop for a couple of months. I am not going out there in 0 degree weather to do so. I have a 6 ft privacy fence though, so no one knows. And it doesn't smell because again, cold.

One of our dogs goes in her area of the yard that is separate and poops there. We don't pick it up regularly. The other won't do that and is so tiny we think she could escape under one area of the fence so we take her on leash and pick up with baggie every time.

They called Saturday - and then again today. I've picked up once in that time. They're saying I haven't picked up in weeks, and they're complaining of health issues due to the poop in my yard. SRSLY.
What kind of health issues? We've done it this way for years, and it's gone from 3 to 2 to now 1 dog, and no one has ever gotten sick. Even in the warmer months I only do it once a week the night before trash pickup b/c I don't want the stench stinking up my garage (where we keep the trash cans).
Granted, we have small dogs and their poop pretty much disintegrates within a couple days, but I don't think I've ever gone out in our own backyard to collect poo.
Your neighbors need something real to worry about.
Do they follow around chipmunks and squirrels in their yard with little plastic mini-poop baggies?
I wish I could with rabbits. We have an area roped off where the kids playset is so the dogs can't poop there and sure as shit there are little piles of poop pellets everywhere. And I know they aren't from my great dane. You can see his poop from space.
We scoop pretty regularly for our one dog (OMG, it's insane how much that dog can poop), but we don't throw it away. We have landscaping in the far corner of the yard, and we toss it in there. We affectionately call it "Poo Corner". The plants are ginormous in there, LOL.
We live where it's hot and rainy most of the year, and there's never been a smell or sanitation issue.
Your neighbors are insane. It's your private property and unless it's stinking up the whole neighborhood, your dogs poop in your own yard is none of their business.
I have two dogs and am lucky if I get out there weekly to scoop some poop! None of my neighbors have complained, because IT'S MY YARD!!!
No way! In the morning, we're in a mad rush to get out the door and in the evening it's dark and cold. I make every effort to pick it up once a week during the non-mowing times of the year. DH picks it up before he mows. Sometimes if the weather is bad, it's much longer. I would be tempted to start cleaning it up but leaving the pooper scooper as near to his house as possible, with a little poop left in it.
Our yard is hazardous right now with all the poop. Once it really gets to be spring we'll go out and clean it up, but for now we're letting the shit fall where it may.
I pick up when the mutt poops in public places or other yards. For the most part, little dog = little poops and with the rain we've had recently, pretty much everything has disintegrated.
