The #s on the left are ranking? What about the number after the name that isn't in parenthesis? Example, Erin has 174 (158 reps) 666 (137lbs) The ones in parenthesis are the reps and weight. What do the numbers in red/pink mean? And for her there's 359 and (840) to the left?
OK so I figured that the 174 & 666 = 840 but still no clue what those mean.

You're right about the reps and weight.
840 is the total number of points Erin has. That number is calculated by adding how many points she has gotten in each event, 174 and 666. CF is like golf, points are bad. If you get first place on an event, you get 1 point. So if you had a 1st, 2nd, and 4th finish on 3 events, it would look like this:
? (7) itsme 1 (millions of reps) 2 (tons of weight) 4 (all the reps)
The ? is because we don't know your ranking without making up more imaginary competitors But if, for example, someone else came 2, 1 and 3, she would have only 6 points, putting her in 1 and making your ? into a 2. Make sense?

Oh, and basically ditto stackingtens on the whole controversy. I think it would be so incredibly lame to purposely stand around for 8:45 just to throw up a big C&J number (and since tons of people, even the pros, are PRing after 15.1, it's not even a good strategy), but it wasn't against the rules. And changing the rules partway through is silly.

I'm Team Foucher for sure this year. She got 8+ rounds. Ridiculous. I like Valenzuela as well, for sure.
I guess Maude is someone who went to regionals last year but didn't get further than that? I was trying to read about her too.
Four of our coaches had to renew their Level 1's over the weekend, so they went to the Rogue gym in Columbus, OH. Their seminar staff include Camille and Matt Chan. OMG-so jealous!
I like foucher a lot but I don't enjoy watching her compete if that makes sense.
Also I'm having another bitter moment about super regions. Central east used to be an hour from where I live and I got to see all the big names compete. Who the actual eff wants to go to Minnesota?!

I am totally bitter about this…Canada East used to be like 30 minutes away for us…now it's in Conneticut I think, lol.
Maude Charron is a competitor from Quebec…I don't even remember being that high up in our regional rankings the last two years (I went both years) but I might have been focused on other people.
I am rooting for my girl Michelle Letendre - 4th last year overall, so she is my hope for the ladies - for the men, well, I might have a huge crush on both Mat Fraser and Noah Ohlsen. Luckily, DH loves Noah so we creep his IG together and watch his lifting videos. lol.

Going to regionals was SO much fun. A TON of people from our gym went, spent the night in Cincinnati or Columbus - it was a giant party. I don't like the new format. At all.

I know that it was 'easy' for me because I lived in Southwestern Ontario and regionals were always held here for Canada East…so obviously people in Quebec had to travel further (and yes, the few people from the Maritimes)…but pretty much nobody except for family is going to make the trek down to the US for this now…there is no way we can afford to go to…but I loved loved loved going, even last year when our team didn't make it and we only had one individual competitor. I will still watch online obviously…because I am an addict.

I agree - attendance at the super regionals will be abysmal.

wambam you may remember that last year I was bummed because regionals were in Santiago but at a time that I was in the US. Well this year they're in Dallas. Yeah, pretty much no one from Latin America is going to have the money to go that far!
rugbywife do you follow Noah Ohlsen's dog on IG? Max is the best!
Oh, and I really had to laugh at Sam Briggs' IG post last night explaining her position on the leaderboard by sharing that she's injured. I went to check, thinking she must have done really badly, annnnnd she was still in 29th in her region. Hahaha, love that for her, such a "bad" showing requires an explanation!
Last comment: I want custom leaderboards back! HQ is not doing well so far this year - right now you can't go into any athlete profile, they're all giving server errors.
@emileinchile - no I had no idea his dog had an IG account, I will have to check it out…dog is super cute though.
I go understand Brigg's post though (I follow her too)…I don't think people were reacting to her raining in her region but in the overall rankings, where she is like in the late 200s…but it's true, her worldwide ranking is irrelevant, she just has to make Europe regionals and she will be fine.

1. Emily 2. South East! She moved, she's training out of Miami now.
I was actually thinking this morning that I could get behind something like what you and wambam are saying (although selfishly that's because I still am a few inches from my chest touching the motherfucking bar ). I was thinking modified Fran of 21 thrusters/pull ups, 15 heavier thrusters/C2B, 9 even heavier thrusters/BMU.

This would be SUUUUUPER interesting!
And as long as the thrusters weren't too heavy, I could do all the things *BMU dance party*
I'm surprised Briggs didn't move to SoCal to keep training with Lindsey. But I guess that region is far more competitive.

My guesses always favor things I WANT to do, so obviously they are a bit skewed.
But, in 2012/2013 we had an open WOD with 150 consecutive wall balls. In 2014, we did 30 total wall balls. SO, I think we're gonna see a lot of wall ball volume, but not in one big set. I'm thinking a ladder of some sort... possibly something like increasing weight overhead squats with 30 wall ball between every weight or something?

Sorry about the misspelling!!! And I DID know she had moved, I don't know how I forgot that…29th in that regional is going to make it WAY harder for her to get back in the top 3 though, much more competition and less likely she will be able to completely dominate. Also explains why I couldn't find her on the leader board last night when I checked Europe, lol.

This would be truly my worst nightmare.
The year we did 150 WBs, I could not hit the target for the life of me. And every time I'd miss, my judge would apologize lol. I never made it off the WBs

The only reason why I don't think it would happen is because of Frantasyland at the games last year - it was essentially that except I don't think the weight increased...

Was that the one where they did PU followed immediately by c2b. Like you didn't even come off the rig?

Haha don't we all do this? My logic this morning was "well, it TOTALLY makes sense to save the C2B for a later date since last year they did it in week 2, and they don't want to be predictable."
rugbywife no worries on the name! And we will just have to see on Sam - assuming she can do enough to make the cut during the Open without derailing her healing, she may be able to come back at 100% for Regionals. wambam I noticed that Sam and Lindsey trained together a ton (or rather, Instagrammed a ton of joint training) leading up to last year's Regionals and then seemed to stop pretty abruptly when they didn't make the Games. Maybe one or both of them felt like they needed a new strategy?

I do think there's something to be said for not seeing pull ups this week because people's hands are in pretty bad shape. I think they will wait another week.

Frantasyland was the team one, and the weights did increase (just checked it because I am a nerd). And yeah, I counted that fact against it because it's not new, but I also like the idea of it and think it feels like a good Open workout.
Of course since we're all calling pull ups and ladders and stuff, it's going to end up being burpees.

Has people's well being EVER crossed Castro's mind?!
