Oh @kateaggie hugs tons of hugs I'm terribly sorry you're going through this. I've been thinking of you and your family. I'm glad the party went well. I think any distraction is good right now. I love that pic of all of you skating, its precious.
I'm so sorry. We had ds cremated so that we can have him with us always. His urn is in the living room next to his picture. I kiss him goodbye and goodnight.
You are still so fresh. Give yourself permission to try things but always leave yourself an out or at least permission to leave.
The fact that your older dd felt like she could share that with you is awesome. It's really important that the siblings have an outlet too, to help them deal with their own grief. It isn't easy and sometimes what they say hurts, but it helps them so much.
I'm glad the party went well and that you got a glimpse of your new normal. Your life will never be the same but you will find a way to make living without Bernadette in your arms and only in your heart, normal. I'm sorry that you have to experience that. Thinking of your family.
My in-laws have a large family. There's a plot with other children that have passed over the generations that my dear daughter is in. My mil had conjoined cousins born in the early 50s that didn't survive & My husbands cousin died of cancer at 10. She's with family, with children, she's happy...
I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I have wanted to say that your sig pic makes me so sad for you every time I see it. Those tiny precious feet make me choke up every time. (That, btw, is not me saying "take it down because it's too sad" in case anyone is reading it that way - because inevitably someone will, I'm sure. It's my way of saying my heart breaks for you over and over again, and I can't begin to imagine what you're going through. The little memorial in your sig is beautiful and heartbreaking.)

ETA: I'm glad you had a good time at the party. Miss M looks like she was having a fabulous time (I'm not sure I've ever seen a bigger smile on a small person) and OMG those orange skates are to die for.
