It's snowing kind of hard right now, and everybody on the road is acting like this is the first snowfall or something. People. We have had snow since the beginning of November. Turn on your lights so people can see you, and stop driving like you've never seen snow before.
My friend was going to let us borrow her portable DVD player for our trip but she forgot to bring it. Now we have 14 hours in the car with no DVD player! Help! Is it worth stopping at Target to buy one? Is using a laptop just as good?

Do you have an ipad he could play with? I would probably stop and buy one a DVD player.
No ipad. Just my iPhone. DVD player forgetting friend felt bad and offered to let us take her kindle fire, but I'm not sure I feel right about that.

Yes.
Yes, get a dvd player. It is worth it. They aren't that expensive.
fussybutt14 hes almost a year. if he had a smaller waist we'd have no problem but 12 month shorts are too tight, so we have to go up to 18 month, which are practically pants on him.
Bragplaint- it's going to be 80 here so I want J to wear shorts to daycare. He looks redic because shorts are so long on his stumpy legs. Does anyone make short boys shorts
I found rompers were shorter than regular shorts.
Same. I also found Circo from Target and ON to have slimmer/shorter shorts
mpc I'd buy the DVD player. I get antsy when I am on line to buy a sandwich without entertainment and I'm not 2.
I'm in a crappy mood today. DH's crappy mood is contagious. I really wish I had a girlfriend nearby I could go and hang out with tonight and watch The Bachelor. Woe is me.
Thanks all. I knew the answer, just didn't want to think about it it was so weird. He was playing in his crib, I picked him up to change him and he puked all over the changing table. I gave him a bath and he's been fine since. I feel like he's a time bomb. Lol
biogirl21, good call. They really are ticking time bombs at this age!
We are supposed to get some sort of freezing rain this morning (haven't gotten much yet) then all sorts of regular rain this afternoon/evening. On top of the 4-5 inches of snow we got Sunday, which sits on top of the 5 inches of snow we got the Saturday before that. Guess what's coming tomorrow night? More snow. Anywhere from .5 inch to 8 inches. WTF meteorologists? F this noise, man.
I asked DC to only give the paci at nap time yesterday and when I came in today they said he didn't have a paci at all (I thought they had a paci stash, but they didn't) and he slept 2.5 hours!DC is magic!
Quick question- if your kid puked up a lot of what looked like last nights dinner, but has been fine for the past 20 minutes, would you keep them home from daycare? He hasn't eaten breakfast yet n
I'm working from home. I just did a full on "squee" and happy dance when I realized I had another cup of coffee in the pot and TOASTER STREUDEL in the freezer.
I signed up to help once a month in the church "nursery". I say nursery because they have rooms from birth to 5th grade. I told the leader that I can help wherever is needed, just plug me in. Secretly I was hoping to get the 0-24month room or the 2-3 year old room. Nope. I got the room for grades 3-5. Now I have to read over the lesson and work with older kids. I teach first which is about my limit. This is what I get for being nice and not requesting a certain age.
lulu21 I have yet to find shorts that don't look like clam diggers on M. He has the shortest little legs. Last month is Mexico he was wearing 18 month shorts and they were still long. It is pretty cute.
M only shrieked for 5 minutes last night when going to bed. I still do not hold out much hope for tonight.
Now I want new flats after looking through the PIP your flats thread. Really there is nothing "money matters" about this board for me
H is taking M to his barber that he has used for years and years to get his hair cut. He is so excited. I think he hopes it goes well so this can become a dad and son tradition.
Between getting home late from work (11), both boys being up straight from 11:30-1:30, DS2 waking to eat at 3, Dh waking for the day to leave at 3:30 and DS1 waking for the day at 4:30, I got 2 hours of sleep last night.
I'm tired.
Blizzard today. DH left home right as the snow was starting. He won't leave until 5pm tonight, with a 2 hour drive, and I hope the roads will be fine by then. I'm so glad we're finally getting a winter storm! Such an odd winter for MN.
J is down for a nap. I've got 4 episodes of Grays to catch up on. Yay! I'm washing the pukey changing pad cover, so I can't do the dishes that need to be done. Our well pump won't supply both. Oh well

We are returning our Neato. It doesn't get under our cabinets well and got stuck under the couch even though I put the magnet strip there to keep it out.
We move in 2 weeks and I haven't packed a thing. It's impossible when DS is awake and by the time he goes to bed I'm exhausted. Someone give me advice or a kick in the ass to get started!
Put DS into a box with a couple toys? I remember doing that when I was packing with a 9 month old.

DD only woke up once at 3, then slept again until 7. I feel like a new woman. We're meeting a friend for lunch today, yay for getting out of the house!
We narrowly avoided being sent to children's, he has bronchiolitus? I have no idea how to spell it so just go with me lol.
I noticed he was wheezing and retracting a bit so we were at the Dr office pretty much when they opened this morning. Luckily a breathing treatment in the office really worked so we're going to try an inhaler with a spacer at home first.
I've had a pretty noticeable decrease in supply the last couple of days, probably from this sinus infection that I can't kick. Yesterday I pumped just enough for today, with nothing left over. So of course this morning I spilled half of what I pumped. I ugly cried a lot.

I'm not help, but I have the opposite issue with DD. She is almost 6 months, but her waist is tiny, and she has long legs already. We bought her shorts in 3 month to fit her waist, but my H says they are Daisy Dukes on her. I think my kid just doesn't need pants/shorts for the summer. She is young enough, right?!

Start throwing stuff out and make a huge pile to donate. Less to pack!
