You really think anyone would be mad that Kirk went to Spock's damned funeral instead of a Red Cross charity event where it doesn't even seem like he was the primary draw?

I bet a GoFundMe would have raised the money his absence would have missed.

But honestly, I don't believe he had to skip out on the fundraiser. He could have gone and then caught a flight. Celebrities do those kinds of things all of the time. Red carpet on night, photo call in the morning. But as he told Twitter, flights are expensive and he didn't want to pay. His blase attitude on Twitter about it pisses me off harder than his not going.

No I completely agree. I'm not saying he handled this well on social media. I'm saying I'm not surprised he didn't go because I know the story of their relationship. He absolutely should have had a better response prepared for the public.

A lot of people would have known the reason because their apathy for each other is well documented but for the sake of publicity he should have had something prepared. There are a lot of people who sincerely thought they were friends and didn't want to know differently. He just made it very obvious.

I'm willing to bet that if roles were reversed Nimoy would have shown for Shatner. Shatner isn't classy.

Please. If there is one thing she got from her mama, it was Debbie's IDGAF attitude. Carrie won't go and she'll be sure to cop to why even if it's something as amusing as "Harrison Ford ate the last piece of pizza in 1983 and I've never forgiven him for it."
