I was so inspired by some of the goals and resolutions posted on this board before the New Year. Not just the regular weight loss stuff, but taking better care of our whole selves. I feel like I have made a lot of steps in the right direction. Anyone else? What is going well for you? What are you struggling with?
Going well: I bought a few new items for my wardrobe and am now wearing jeans and boots more often than yoga pants and sneakers. This is a break-through! Dressing better has motivated me to wear makeup more. It takes just minutes, so why not? I am consistently going to the gym 2-3 times per week. I want to do a little more, maybe a group yoga or pilates class. Work-in-progress. I have taken on a few DIY projects around the house and am really happy with the results. I have upped my water intake to about 80 ounces per day. My dry skin needs it this winter!
Struggling: DH and I need to recommit to monthly date nights. We haven't had one since December but have planned one for later this month. I want to get out of my ponytail rut. I have long straight hair and I pull it back every day. I just got a fresh cut in the hopes that will motivate me. Sugar continues to be my downfall. I eat well all day and then the sugar cravings hit around 8:00. Coffee and wine are also two vices I would like to cut down on. Its hard though!
-Read 100 books in 2015: I'm on track with this, I think I'll be able to accomplish this before the end of the year. -Run a 5K : I was searching for one yesterday, but haven't actually signed up yet. -Pay off my car before it hits 100,000 miles : I've been paying an extra $125 a month towards my car. It's at 85,000 miles right now. -Paint the house, redo DS1's bedroom, and generally make our house more into a home : Painted the house, still working on the rest. -Stay on top of my photos and make family photo books : whomp, whomp, NOPE -Use my DSLR twice a week: Nope
1. Go to the gym 3 days a week.- I think there has been one week when I only went twice. 2. Run a 5k.- My first 5k is in two weeks! I'm thinking of running the new Rock and Roll 5k in May too. 3. Build back up our emergency fund. - Not going so well. We have had two big unexpected homeowner expenses that we weren't planning for and had to dip into our meager savings account. 4. Lose 30 lbs.- I've lost four pounds. My body has changed so much though. I've got muscle definition again!

Sell the house. not even on the market yet. Sigh.
Major decluttering project to complete. I started out so well, but I've been slacking lately. I'm kind of waiting for warmer weather so removing junk is easier and we could have a yard sale.
Healthy eating and exercise (you know AFTER NYE when I consume all that cream cheese.)
I've been on mfp for 40 days straight and use the exercise bike most nights. Trying to be better about meals for us all.
Carve out more me time in my day. I like the goals to be more vain. I got a haircut but other than that....pretty much sucked on this goal. Get rid of ds2's pacifier. Hahaha. Yeah that kid is super attached to that.
Make it work so I can help my parents this spring with their busy season at work. This might work out with DH taking time off and me working a little planting seedlings.

I'm pretty happy that they're going well. I am using my gym membership, drinking minimally, and putting more into my marriage. I haven't been the best meal planner lately and I want to focus more on writing and creating, so those are the ones that need more attention.
I'm doing great so far. No screens when the kids are awake (phone, computer and iPad) unless necessary. I'm reading for an hour a day and I'm getting more physical activity edit to clarify: they still get their 2 shows a day. They're up from 5 am- 6pm. We all need some downtime during our long days. My resolution was about being more present when I'm with the kids
