J's had a 102.6-103.8 fever all night. I slept for a whooping 4 hours because he was a mess. It's going to be a long day. I wish be could tell me what's wrong.
I'm going to a consignment pre-sale tonight. I feel like this one is usually overpriced, but it's the only one I can make it to this season, so hopefully I find some good deals.
My random. I have a client who first came in two years ago to work on a project for him. We did the first phase and he disappeared. No problem. About a year and a half after that we returned the balance of his retainer. He called at christmas time ready to resume but I was out of town. He called again yesterday, wanting to stop by today or tomorrow with a new retainer and drawings for phase two. I'm swamped with other work right now and, frankly, don't want to work on his project. I'm really hoping he doesn't show again.

The worse thing about DST is it is now super dark when the baby wakes. When light was emerging, it wasn't so bad, but now I feel like wake up is in the MOTN. I realise a lot of people rise in the dark for their jobs year round.
DS2 and I are hosting baby playgroup. I feel a bit insecure about our home. It's a nice little home, but still needs work. Some of the other homes of moms are so much nicer! I know it's stupid, but I'm still insecure.
I feel like I'm at newborn levels of sleep deprivation... but I actually slept 8 hours + 1 hour nap yesterday. I will go into work but I'm not sure if I can stay. Feel lame for taking PTO for being tired though, lol.
I seriously took naps in my office between classes during first tri a couple of times. It didn't matter how much nighttime sleep I got; I was falling asleep at my desk by mid-afternoon.

DH has been good about trying to help MOTN when I ask (i.e. when I'm not feeding) but he is completely incapable of setting the baby down without waking him up. So, the baby wakes me up, I ask DH to get him, barely fall back asleep while he rocks him, then wake right back up when DH tries to put him down at which point I get up and feed him anyway. I just want sleep!
L was up again in the middle of the night wanting to party. He wasn't hungry and wasn't fussy just up babbling. I fell back asleep on him since I knew he was fine and thankfully he fell asleep too. Then he woke up at 4:45 fussy, I nursed him and then he was up for the day. I didn't realize immediately it was because he pooped. That's the first time he's done so that early in the morning. I definitely enjoyed my iced caramel macchiato this morning.
Where has pinotgrig been? I haven't seen her post in a while. I hope she is doing well.
And to follow up to my friend's car seat saga from yesterday. She claims her daughter's legs are so strong that she got herself out of her car seat while she was driving at 8 months old. I'm sorry I don't believe that. I really don't see how that is possible unless she wasn't strapped in properly.
DD didn't go to bed until 11. And was up at 5:45. Not cool.
Confession: I think this may have had something to do with a secret diet coke she took. We got McDonald's drinks Sunday night, and I didn't have much of mine and forgot I left it on the end table. She then hid it in her art easel and drank on it all day. I didn't realize she had it in there until about 7 p.m. Oooooops.
The police pulled a body from the lake next to my office building yesterday. I usually walk past it every day but the closer parking lot had open spaces when I got here.
I am officially sick and I'm exhausted. The girls are still sick and sleeping horribly so I've averaged about 3 hrs the last 4 or 5 nights. I have to go into the office today and wait for a FedEx package. If it doesn't come I'll be pissed because I'd rather wfh in my Yoga pants sitting in bed.

I have fasting bloodwork today so I couldn't have coffee and was a raging bitch. Yelled at H when he whined because I refused to cook his breakfast and snapped at DD because she wanted a ponytail but kept wiggling and snapping her head around.

I can't wait for Friday and this stupid work program to be done. I've been in the office at 7:00-7:30 every day this week, didn't leave until after 5:00 last night and am hoping to leave at my normal time tonight, but am not sure it'll happen.
We have an education program with a VERY demanding group in. They have complained about the room temperature (it was apparently too cold, but I was in the same room and not sure what the Program Manager was feeling) the food (they want a hot lunch, they have a budget for a cold lunch) there's not enough "data" in the presentations, you name it!
It'll be interesting to hear what they have to say when the evaluations come around, that's for sure.
It's raining and will continue to rain all day. Tuesday is usually my run around town day so I'm bummed. I may just go out anyway and then probably regret it.
I'm baking the steel cut oatmeal thing and it smells SO good. I went ahead and bought a huge bag of walnuts and frozen blueberries at Sam's last week. I'm trying it with a bit of brown sugar instead of maple syrup today.

I'll keep my fingers crossed too, tulips! I hope you guys feel better soon.
sjh722, I'm kind of cracking up at "secret Diet Coke."
I was also late to work, probably because of DST. Getting ready in the morning with a toddler by myself is the pits. I feel like I spend half of the morning just picking up the stuff he throws around. H is also grating my nerves, everything he does. I hope I can figure out why he's annoying me so badly so I can stop being a crab to him at home.
I am really loving my new job but there are some politics / decisions that are bumming me out a little. I have been working a ton lately and i underestimated how much more tiring it is with a kid. We have a deadline soonand then it should ease up for a month or two.
I mainly lurk here, but I'm going to jump in today.
M woke up promptly at 7am with a smile and a huge poop! I need to work on my grad school application essay today but I'm feeling very unmotivated. It isn't due until June, but I don't want to get into the habit of procrastinating...
Two mornings in a row where DD has woken up at 5am. Nope, not happening kid. Both mornings I have given her a sippy of milk and then she goes back to bed. Yesterday I was home sick with her and she went back to bed until 8:30am. This morning she went back to bed until 6:40, which is normal waking time on a school day for her. I'm not sure if this is DST doing this to her or what but I hope it stops.
Our hoodlum neighbor teens threw a brand new pair of white Jordans (sneakers) over the electric line. I have to call the boro to see if they will come get them down. All of my neighbors are awesome except for this house that is pure trash. Who the hell does that?
I managed to get 20k steps per my fitbit yesterday! I am barely sore today, either.
N was up until 10pm last night. So annoying, it's like we don't get any down time at all because we're constantly having to go in there and get him to lay back down. He asked H to turn the hall light on at one point and was just laying in bed "reading" books for 20+ minutes.
I used the Starbucks B1G1 free espresso coupon to buy two talls this morning and poured them both into my travel mug.
Should I buy Unders for my nowhere near ready to PT 21 month old because they are $20 for a 3 pack on Zulily today? I was planning on just getting him underwear with Thomas on them at Target but I heard these are a must have. Why is that now?

Ds1 has a fever. I gave him Tylenol and took him to school. I got home and started my computer to start work and school was already calling to pick him up. We have not all been healthy at the same time in months.

Someone gave DS a little dinosaur book and I'm cursing them right now. I have no clue how to pronounce half of these names and DS wants to read it all the time. Coelophysis? Quetzalcoatus? No. He is not as impressed when I just try to describe what the dinosaur looks like, lol.

OMG THEY MUST HAVE A CHAIN LINK FENCE!
ETA: Too soon?
I must have missed something about chain link fences. Damn busy week for getting in the way of my GBCNing!
