LOL! Yep. I had that thought. Pace yourself though and try to enjoy the story overall. I had a hard time doing that the first time through but it was easier on the re-read.

Context. There are 8 books. Think about that logically and it will get you through. LOL.

I remember when I read DIA for the first time. I started it immediately after I finished Outlander. I read the first few pages, freaked the eff out, and closed the book. It took me 3 days to gather up the courage to pick the book up again and find out what went so horribly wrong for things to be like they were.

I hate when books that are late in series start out with some seemingly irrelevant prologues/early chapters.

I'm loving these threads!! I read Outlander for the first time (why did I wait do long???) about two weeks ago, blasted through it in about 3-4 days. I'm a couple hundred pages from being done with Voyager now and really enjoying this series! Don't worry, I have the next one waiting, plus just ordered the next three from amazon. Of course, now I really want to watch the show, and I don't have Showtime!

It's on Starz, not Showtime.

I don't have any premium channels at the moment, I'll be using my free 3-month trial of HBO soon to watch the latest GOT season, but I think the other channels only offer a 1 month trial. But I will be looking into this simply june business!

I'm looking forward to rereading this one. It was a bit tough to get through the first time, but I think knowing where it leads will make it more enjoyable for me the second time through. It really picks up in the second half.

For anyone reading it for the first time, make sure you have Voyager immediately available when you finish. Trust me.

I remember how long it took me to care about Brianna and Roger when I read this one. "Omg I don't care, where is Jamieeee??!!" Now I love them (I've read through book 5).

You know, I care a *little* bit in book 7 and 8, but not much.

ETA: I forgot about the thing that happens in book 6. That was the most interesting thing with Brianna and Roger.

This was my fav city in Scotland IRL two years ago, so that kept me going.
