ETA: Also, after the utter awfulness of the prequels, I'm having a reeeeeeally hard time working up the excitement about the new movie. I'm trying really hard, but then Jar Jar Binks sneaks into my thoughts and I get depressed again.

My hair stylist who is a huge fan said that these movies are going to be more like the first three and they're not going to do any of that crazy CGI stuff.
I have no idea if it's true. I'm not a big SW fan, but David is. He's sooo excited for this movie.
DH already sent me the link to this trailer. We also went to go watch Catching Fire at Alamo Drafthouse back in November (Or was it December? I can't remember) here in town because apparently they were one of the few theatres nationwide that were showing a Star Wars trailer before that movie. So he sat through a 2+ hour movie just to watch a minute trailer. Ha.

I'd feel like this if Lucas were still involved, but he's not! I have high hopes.

I have faith in JJ Abrams.
And in the fact that George Lucas is no longer involved.

See, I was more worried about JJ Abrams being involved (he whitewashed everything in Star Trek in the name of making it look "scifi-ish"). But these trailers have wiped that worry away.
I forwarded it to a friend at work and we're presently geeking out completely.

I already have DS playing with this in preparation:
DH isn't a Star Wars fan and thinks I'm indoctrinating him. Like you have to try to make little kids love Star Wars.
We also have the At-At. I've almost collected all of the Galactic Heroes/Jedi Force toys for me. Um, my son. Yeah, him. His room is also done in a Star Wars theme. I'm a bit obsessed.
I just watched it three times with both my boys. DS 2 doesn't see what the fuss is about, but he's only four and was bored when we tried to show him Star Wars earlier this year. DS 1 is a fanatic, though, and couldn't stop squeezing my arm and laughing like a loon every time we hit the last part.
I confess, the crashed Star Destroyer at the beginning gives me goosebumps. This movie had better not disappoint!
