It's currently 45 degrees, in April, in the south. It's claiming to warm up to a balmy 55, by 10 when E's party starts. I hope things aren't completely disastrous. DH is still getting the bounce house this morning.
Our mini sessions that got cancelled last weekend were rescheduled for this afternoon. She sent an email last night canceling those bc of rain again. I really wanted to get them done before Disney.
We're heading out to civilization to price out bathroom countertops. We got a good quote for the bathroom repair work we want done so we're deciding to go for the facelift renovation after all. It helps that we apparently dramatically underestimated our tax return and got about $1,500 more than we expected so we will barely have to touch our e-fund in the end (referencing this thread: pandce.proboards.com/thread/435256/bathroom-reno-wwyd)

We closed on the house yesterday. I'll start ripping out stuff in the kitchen today.
Dumb question: The seller left some stuff (lamps, a few dishes, washer & dryer). Is that stuff ours now or should we try to coordinate getting it back to them?
I don't know what's going on with me - but I keep waking up around 6:15 am. No no no. I would like more sleep than that!
I wish the weather was warmer. There is an event at DS's school this afternoon with a petting zoo, pony rides, moonbounce, etc. but I would be nice if the temp was higher than the expected 57 degrees forecasted.

I would coordinate getting back to them, if they are still local. Unless they were jerks, then don't bother being nice!
We left a few small things in our old house (nothing we actually needed) but I thought it was very nice of the buyers to contact us about it. But we were good to them in the selling process.

DD has started crying in her crib at 3:45 am ALL FUCKING WEEK. I thought we turned a corner last week when she was sleeping 10 hours a night. Now we are back to 8 hours. I'm so sick of this. It has been going on for so long that she doesn't sleep past 4:45. I'm tired and clueless about why she doesn't sleep longer.

@choco, that's a beautiful picture!
Damn dogs woke me up at 3am.
We have soccer this morning, and then I need to tidy the house. My parents are coming to babysit for like the second time ever this afternoon, so I can go to a memorial service for a friend. Sad

I would just see if they meant to leave them.
Of course our sellers left a shed full of paint and chemicals which we had to dispose of. Pissed!

In the contract, did they mention leaving the washer and dryer? I know in our contract it mentioned which appliances would be left behind. I would contact the seller about the lamps and dishes.
chickens987, it is a pretty view but man I am so sleepy and it's bright now. I feel like a vampire, afraid of the sun.
chickens987 - so sorry for the loser of your friend.
I am hoping this early wake up crap is pregnancy related. If I got out if bed and was productive, it might be a good thing but of course that doesn't happen. I lie here playing with my phone and I just turned on hgtv. I'm hungry too - maybe I'll hop in the shower so we can get moving and out of the house to get breakfast earlier than usual today. Also because my stomach is a bottomless pit lately.

Techincally yours. You can coordinate if you want. Washer and dryer transfer with houses here

Yes! L is doing this too. First it was 5:00, then 4:30, then 4:00. Today he was awake and raring to go at 3:45. He was up until 5:45 and then went back to sleep until 7:00. It's do frustrating! I mean, it's great he's "STTN" but these ridiculously early mornings suck!
DH snored all night last night. I wanted to murder him when he asked if I slept well.
Does he usually snore? DH was a TERRIBLE snorer for a long time. Over time, we developed a multi-tier system and now he doesn't snore any more.
-firm mattress -Temperpedic neck pillow (to hold his head properly when he sleeps on his side) -saline nasal spray before bed -Breathe Right nasal strips, the "strong" variety. -no beer or wine, they exacerbate the snoring. That's probably unique to DH though.

I am pretty sure his is a weight thing. He never used to snore but the past few years it has gotten pretty bad as he's gained more weight. And yes, beer and wine make it so much worse. But he's a big beer snob...

DH's is from weight too. But obviously losing weight takes a long time, and we needed an immediate solution. Hence all those measures in the meantime.
As far as beer and wine, DH loved those too. I flat-out told him that he had to choose between beer/wine and sleeping in our bed. If he wanted beer or wine so badly, he could sleep on the couch or futon. He chose to give them up. He just switched to scotch instead
I slept in until 7 and it felt great. DH is helping his mom all day so it's just DD and I. We have ECFE class this morning and then I'm picking up my 13 year old niece who is sleeping over tonight. The 3 of us (niece, DD and I) should have a fun afternoon.
Hosting a small baby shower today. So much to do to get ready but H is at a 5k right now so I'm waiting until he he's back to get started. Someone needs to entertain the baby, right? Also, Clueless is on right now. Lol
I'm headed out to an arts/crafts thing with my mom and a bunch of my cousins. It's such a fun drive and in a cool old barn.
Bad news is it's freakin' 32 degrees here ATM. Colder than last fall when I went to the same thing in NOVEMBER!
DD is trying to decide she's coming or going to MILs. It's so cute. "Buuttt Mommmm want to go shopping with you and see Grandma C! Butttttt Grandmmmaaa T really needs me to shake rugs. I thinks she missed me this week!"
Haha. Logic of the almost 4 year olds.
Either way the kids have to get out of the house because they're insulating our addition today. Sheetrock on Tuesday!
My sister was supposed to come and I was excited but she's really tired from being pregnant. She's going to call in 2 hours saying she's half way here or is staying home entirely. I hope the former. I snagged Lifetime Movies at the Library yesterday! We love them.
I have the cutest "hello weekend" Sweatshirt to wear today too!
We were suppose to be away this weekend but H has to work today so we don't have much planned. We do need to take one of the dogs to the vet this morning because it looks like an issue he had before has come back. Last time we had to do surgery so really hoping it isn't what we think it is.
Also need to hit up the grocery store because last minute decided to have friends over to grill but now with the weather may try to convince everyone to just go out instead.
I also want to throw out everything in my house because it is feeling so cluttered ........maybe I will just start with the 3 bags of clothes I have for goodwill.
C slept at grandma's house last night so H and I could go on a date. We browsed a few furniture stores and then went to a steak place for dinner with a GC. Total cost out of pocket was $10!
It was weird coming home afterward, though. Last night was the first time that I've been home and C hasn't. He's stayed over at my parent's house once before, but it was because I was out of town for work. Oh well, I got to sleep until 7:10! Ha.

This is me lately. Mainly because DSs closet is full of baby gear to go to my sister's. I might just drive it the 4 hours to her house one of these days instead of waiting for her to get here to pick and choose what she wants.
I solved my tupperware cupboard disaster by donating more than half of it. After I donated half of it a month ago.
I have bedding I need to do something with. It's all jammed in DSs armoire. I need it for guests so it's not clutter, but I have to wait for addition to get done so my LR closet is empty again and I can put it all there.
There's toys everywhere. My kids are both in between stages so I have no idea what they love to get rid of.
There's 3 sizes of clothes in my closet. Thanks pregnancy weight that's not quite gone.
And I'm usually great about donating and I'm not much of an over/constant shopper at all, so where does it all come from?
