We were driving to the Post Office when I saw a sign for a car seat safety check. I'm so glad I went! B was at the wrong incline, the LATCH buckle was facing the wrong way and he was still sitting on the infant insert. We are all fixed now and safely rearfacing to two and beyond!
DH has a softball tournament today. DS and I went for a couple hours. It's chilly for April 25th, but kept plenty warm running around for 2+ hrs. DS (and I) were up and down the bleachers and chasing after softballs all morning. I'm glad I packed a lunch for DS because he fell asleep before we even pulled out of the parking lot. I think I need a little nap for a bit too.
My little cousin is coming over later this afternoon to play with DS. She's a great little mothers helper. She just turned 10 and loves hanging out with DS. We'll have a fancy night of pizza and she might sleepover. I just need to convince her to get up with DS tomorrow morning and the weekend will be perfect
We're getting a quote for new windows and the guy has been here for almost two hours. I left H with him so I can breastfeed. Go away dude! This is too much. Too many samples and videos about your product. Tell me how much $$ and leave!
ETA: Lolz, the quote was $12k for two windows and two sliding glass doors. NOT.
I HATED sitting through window presentations. We sat through four it was awful awful awful. Especially when they ended up being so far out of our price range.
I'm sitting here with V, who's watched Paloma Faith's "Upside Down" music video 5 times in a row. Every time it ends he says "more time!" (one more time/again).
I can't remember the last time he sat still this long. I feel slightly guilty but we had quality non-screen time for about an hour before this.
A friend clued me in to a local research study on, of all wonderful things, ice cream! I am going in a few weeks and will make 45 bucks to taste a brownie and cookie dough flavor. Twist my arm!

I took three bags of clothes and a couple of boxes of stuff to goodwill this morning. I love getting rid of stuff. They wouldn't take a baby tub though, because it supports the baby's weight? Now what do I do with this thing? L and I went to toys r us and got a turtle sandbox for free between rewards and a gift card. Also, it snowed. On April 25. In Maryland. Go home.
I also want to throw out everything in my house because it is feeling so cluttered ........maybe I will just start with the 3 bags of clothes I have for goodwill.
This is me lately. Mainly because DSs closet is full of baby gear to go to my sister's. I might just drive it the 4 hours to her house one of these days instead of waiting for her to get here to pick and choose what she wants.
I solved my tupperware cupboard disaster by donating more than half of it. After I donated half of it a month ago.
I have bedding I need to do something with. It's all jammed in DSs armoire. I need it for guests so it's not clutter, but I have to wait for addition to get done so my LR closet is empty again and I can put it all there.
There's toys everywhere. My kids are both in between stages so I have no idea what they love to get rid of.
There's 3 sizes of clothes in my closet. Thanks pregnancy weight that's not quite gone.
And I'm usually great about donating and I'm not much of an over/constant shopper at all, so where does it all come from?
I just said F- it and packed up a bunch of work pants that no longer fit. I figure if I need them the it will be an incentive to lose the weight. Plus they are all ready a several years old and showing wear. Cleaned up the pile of crap in the office too. I love our house but it is small so any little clutter seems like A LOT.

Recycling?
Do you think it can actually be recycled? It seems like the non-recyclable plastic. I'll have to look into this.
The early nap was a success, in that she slept or played quietly for 2.5 hours - which is normal at daycare but an hour more than she usually does on weekends. Unfortunately my burst of energy is gone, so we'll see how the afternoon goes.
