I showed a house that had 12 (?) cats. 6 in the house, and one that had kittens which left as we were arriving. I need to figure out where my claritin is, because 2.5 hours later my throat is still scratchy and swollen feeling.

The brick one wth the more open layout. Dh will side it and do a hip roof on the garage. it will look more craftsman when done than the current exterior with the brick.

My 2yo is a beast. I just did bedtime for 75 minutes. 55 minutes of those I stood outside her door holding it shut. This is night 2 of this nonsense. DH and I need to strategize over all the wine tonight.

You need a knob cover on the inside of her door. DD can stand and bang on the door all she wants, but she can't get it open. (The banging on the door drastically decreased after a couple of nights.)
I just applied for a job. Starts in August (would be the tail end of my mat leave), and 18-20 hours/week. Back in my original field. I don't know if I really really want it, but the balance is really really what I need. I would prefer part-time, even if it means a pay cut.

I was thinking that as I stood there. She just figured out how to open it last night. I might still get one, even though we are moving in 3 weeks and the girls will be sharing a big room. Hold me.
I love having a soaker tub so much! DH is in some kind of mood so I've been ignoring him and will take a long hot epsom salt bath as soon as I finish my ice cream.

DS is fighting a cold and DD has reached a new level of constant motion, mouthing off and being generally oppositional. I'm exhausted and though I do love DD, I don't like her a whole lot right now. I hope this phase passes soon.
I almost killed MH today. I took DS1 to a 12:30 MD appt while DS2 was at MDO. Appt took forever, and we missed picking up DS2, so H left work to get him. H had to be back at work by 4:00, so we made a plan that I'd let him know by 3:15 whether or not I'd be home by 3:30 so he could get back on time, and if not, H would take him to drop in at DC. I texted H at 3:10 that I would be home in time. No response, but I could see he read it. Got home at 3:28 and no one was here. Called H, he took DS2 to DC at 3 because he assumed I wouldn't make it. So I got to waste another hour driving up to DC to pick him up and back, and we're out the $25 drop in fee for the 47 minutes he was there. All because H is impatient and a pain in my ass.

On a happy note M learned how to spell his name this week and keeps randomly telling me, and anyone else who will listen, "My name is M-A-X-W-E-L-L. It is really cute.

O, DS2, turned six months on Friday and although he still won't roll; he decided to master sitting! As long as I put him in the sitting position, he can sit forever and he's really started to play. I'm so proud of him. I'm feeling much better about his physical development. I'm going to sleep much better tonight!
We have another PT spot Wednesday and an spot about a helmet Thursday.
Both boys had well visits today and our doing well. H, DS1, had zero accidents today and pooped in the potty. This is huge for him!
I am in the middle of rotating DD's wardrobe into the next size. I am embarrassed at the bounty. Her whole closet is dresses- half 6-12m and half 12-18m.
I still have the same fucking migraine I've had since YESTERDAY afternoon. This is torture. I've now used up all the good painkillers I had left over from my c-section. If this last 800mg ibuprofen doesn't finally kick the migraine overnight I don't know what I'm going to do.
At least both kids napped at the same time today thank god. I got a much needed 1.5hr nap. And DH came home early-ish at 4:30 as I asked him to, and he cooked dinner, did the dishes, bathed DS, and put him to bed. I hid in the dark bedroom with DD. Tomorrow HAS TO be better than today!

Can you try Excedrin and some caffeine? (I know you aren't supposed to have aspirin while BF but I asked DD's pedi & a LC and both were fine with occasional aspirin. Otherwise I was in bed all day, vomiting and unable to move, with horrible migraines every few weeks.) Motrin doesn't do anything for a migraine for me - neither do narcotics.
Random book recommendation at the intersection of dog and vehicle interest: Early Rider by William Wegman. Photographed dogs riding in/on hand drawn vehicles with rhymes. (eg "Hey, there's Clive off on a drive. He'll go far in his new blue car.")

They used to make a stress headache Exedrine without the aspirin. I can't find the name brand anymore, but I still find the store brands at most stores.
I had my first beer in almost a year yesterday and it was a bit of a bust--it ended up costing $7 which is pretty nuts here and today it made me crazy gassy which is no good. Just as well it wasn't that much fun I guess.
In satisfying news, we were missing the caps to two bottles almost the whole time we've had them. But I found both of them! One under the foot of our bed on Sat and today I found the other in a box of spare pump and storage parts.
I also found the wet bags I was looking for. Annoyingly they were in the first place I looked but I didn't see them under something and looked literally every other place I thought they could be before doubling back. But I found them at least.
It strikes me as funny that people say breast feeding has a financial advantage over formula because it has cost me a lot to pump. I spent money on Lactation Consultants, hospital pump rental, supplements, creams, storage bottles, freezer bags, the same regular bottles formula needs, ingredients for lactation bars, hands free bras.
Maybe for someone who has little trouble breast feeding directly and doesn't work/leave the baby it would be cheaper.
