It strikes me as funny that people say breast feeding has a financial advantage over formula because it has cost me a lot to pump. I spent money on Lactation Consultants, hospital pump rental, supplements, creams, storage bottles, freezer bags, the same regular bottles formula needs, ingredients for lactation bars, hands free bras.
Maybe for someone who has little trouble breast feeding directly and doesn't work/leave the baby it would be cheaper.
It's a lie!!! Even if the costs leveled out after I had accumulated all the supplies and figured things out, I lost so much time pumping!

Lol I was just saying this to my mom this afternoon- EP is more expensive then formula!
Multiple LC appointments Osteopathic CST appointment for dd 24 freakin dr brown bottles 6 sets of pump parts Microwave sterilizer bags Medela breast milk removal soap 2 simple wishes bras Medela storage bottle sets One million freezer bags 2 rounds of mastitis meds/dr appointment gel pads Nipple creams Supplements $75 a month for a hospital pump so maybe I will have less clogged ducts...
Plus all the crap I bought trying to get breastfeeding to work in the first place lol
C held her own bottles from like 5 months on, didn't care what temperature it was not had issues with bubbles.
Dump, shake, hand to her. SO AMAZINGLY EASY.
After an absolutely miserable, HARD journey to BF and pump while at work, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop re: FFing.
I don't think formula gets nearly enough credit around here.
I agree 100%. I believe everbody should do what they want but FFing isn't the end of the world and like you for us it had only positive - no negatives.
DH has tried to find the grapefruit shandy for me but so far has been unsuccessful. Do they only sell it in certain regions?
We've only seen it in leinenkugel variety packs in MA. We disliked it enough to pour it out. I tasted it and told DH "I heard this was supposed to be great". I'm picky but he usually won't waste a beer. The ginger one was delicious though.
I still have the same fucking migraine I've had since YESTERDAY afternoon. This is torture. I've now used up all the good painkillers I had left over from my c-section. If this last 800mg ibuprofen doesn't finally kick the migraine overnight I don't know what I'm going to do.
At least both kids napped at the same time today thank god. I got a much needed 1.5hr nap. And DH came home early-ish at 4:30 as I asked him to, and he cooked dinner, did the dishes, bathed DS, and put him to bed. I hid in the dark bedroom with DD. Tomorrow HAS TO be better than today!
Can you try Excedrin and some caffeine? (I know you aren't supposed to have aspirin while BF but I asked DD's pedi & a LC and both were fine with occasional aspirin. Otherwise I was in bed all day, vomiting and unable to move, with horrible migraines every few weeks.) Motrin doesn't do anything for a migraine for me - neither do narcotics.
Hope you feel better soon!
Luckily my last heavy-duty ibuprofen kicked it. But thanks for the idea!
