I do. I have a degree in PR and advertising and am working in client relations for an IT research company right now. It took me almost exactly a year after I graduated to get this job and I've been here for almost six months now. I love what I do and what the company I work for.
I work in HR and have always wanted to. The university I went to did not have an undergrad program at the time for HR so I majored in business and psychology instead (of course now they have an HR program). When I graduated, it was the end of 2007 and the economy was absolute shit. I moved in with DH (then boyfriend) and could not find a job for months, except crappy temp jobs that paid nothing. Finally I got a job working as an admin for a recruiting firm. Worked that job for a year and was promoted, so I did recruiting, staffing, and account management the next 2 years. I left that company after almost 3 years and came to my current company, where I've been for a year working as a Human Resources Coordinator for a medical supplies company.
I got my first job out of college in audit/accounting. Now I'm an audit professor and finishing my PhD in accounting. So I switched jobs, but always in relation with my degrees.
I have a degree is special education and was a teacher for 9 years. I received mt masters in counseling and now I am a school counselor. I am now finishing up my masters in educational leadership.

My degree was very specific. There's not a whole lot of variety of what I can do, especially now that I've established a career.
I actually got my first job out of school from a craigslist ad, lol. I had the unfortunate circumstance of graduating in 2009, when most companies in my field were having layoffs and cutbacks. I got my job exactly 2 months after I graduated.
I am no longer working there because they sucked and took advantage of me because they knew I was desparate. I found my current job on monster, but I had heard of the company before.
Yes my degree is in my field. My BA is in Economics & Business. I didn't get a job in my field then and worked an administrative job at a hospital for a few months while applying to grad school. I then went on to get a master's in accounting/mba (it was a program for individuals without undergrad degrees in accounting). The program has/had a 99% job placement rate and includes an internship, so I got an internship and got a full time job through the program's on campus recruiting. It's not the same firm I initially started with but a different one. The job is similar but due to promotions is a higher level.
Yes my degree is in my field. I have a BA in accounting and I work for a CPA firm.
I still work at my first job out of college (although I have an interview on Thursday and am freaking out about it!!). I got it the way most people get jobs at CPA firms, the firms come on campus to interview.

Not exactly.
I have a MS in School Counseling. I use the counseling part but I'm not a school counselor like I should be. I work with adults with developmental disabilities in their vocational setting.
But at this point I'll be staying right where I am. Getting a job in a school in NYS in this economy is way too scary, and next to impossible.

math degree - IT field
First job out of college - out of state company posted openings in my local newspaper, I applied, interviewed and was offered a job and moved to the new state.
Still IT - different company, different area of IT.
My degree is in Science and I do Science for my job. I got my first job out of college because that place was a shithole wasteland revolving door. But it had a fancy well known name. So after a year there, I left and do the same exact job at a different place.
Sort of. I have two degrees, one in chemistry and one in English. My career is in chemistry and my volunteer work involves my English degree. I am not working the same job I got after graduation. Gotta love this economy.
Yes. My degree is Finance and I work in banking. I started off as a teller while in college and really liked banking.
When I graduated I moved home and applied for some banking sales jobs. I got hired by A BIG bank and have worked here ever since. I have had 4 promotions since then and make about 3x's what I did when I first started 8 years ago.
Yes and my first job ou of college was the same clinic where I did my last clinical affiliation. I just left after nine years so overall, i'd say it worked out ok.
I got my first job out of college in audit/accounting. Now I'm an audit professor and finishing my PhD in accounting. So I switched jobs, but always in relation with my degrees.
Nice! I always wish I could do this, but I feel like I won't be a good teacher since i don't generally like presenting.
No, my job isn't in the field my degree is in. First job, got it by networking with any and all family and friends. No, I don't work at the same company.
I did an internship in grad school that led to my first position with the company. I'm now in a dif. division, my degrees help but most of the training has been on the job.

I've never had a full-time job directly related to my undergrad, but my current job is related to my Masters degree. Public Administration a pretty broad degree, though.
And, I am definitely not working in the first job I had out of college. That job was totally unrelated to my field. A few years after graduation, I got a job with an organization I'd been volunteering with and lo, my heart belonged to the nonprofit sector. A year or so later, I went back for my Masters and I've stayed in the field ever since.

Well, kinda. I have a bachelor in Biology, so that’s pretty broad. I got my job in <1mo from graduating & have been at that company for about 2 years. I found it by searching the names of every pharmaceutical company in central/northern NJ. If no jobs were posted, I emailed the HR dept my resume, saying ‘My name is Renata & I am a recent graduate of Rutgers. I’m excited to begin a career in ______. Please consider my resume for any available positions that I may qualify for. Thank you.’
I did that to about 40 companies. The next morning, I had an email response from 1 company asking for an interview. I had an offer within a week. I started as a QA analyst, which did use my degree. But since then I’ve been promoted to regulatory, which isn’t as related (but pays better!).
I used my microbiology degree for my first job as a research assistant in a lab. Thought i may continue on to do a Ph.D in that, but had a change of heart.
I got my teaching degree back when there were no teaching jobs available where I lived. I did get a job as a nursery school teacher and later employed as a full time sub in a middle school in Brooklyn. Finally I gave up and got jobs in other fields. My last job was in graphics/communications/back office work at an investment bank.
