WHO THE FUCK THROWS A KID FREE CO-ED BABY SHOWER ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON? AND THEN HAS THE AUDACITY TO GET PISSED AND QUESTION MY KIDS GRANDMOTHER AS TO WHY SHE DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE UP HER SUNDAY AFTERNOON SO THAT WE COULD COME AND BRING YOU A GIFT?
They hired a babysitter Something she told me when I said I could not get babysitting.
LOL. I am not PAYING for a babysitter to give up my Sunday afternoon to come bring you a gift. And I would never expect anyone to do that for me either.

I've never heard of a co-ed baby shower. Bridal, yes, baby, no. And I cannot believe they would say that about your mom. My mom much prefers to spend time with my whole family b/c a. she likes me and DH and b. she's not having to play parent/babysitter. She can relax, which is what your mom deserves to do on your boat!
Who watched first baby at this second baby shower? Obviously who ever watched that baby was already watching babies and should have just taken in a couple more.
The day we moved into our house, one of H's friends had a get-together. I let the wife know we might make it, but we'd likely be pretty tired and H had to go OOT the next day, so we had a lot to get settled before he left.
Well, we were tired and sweaty and didn't feel like going out, so I called and said we won't be coming but we'll see them next time. The wife was PISSED and never answered any of my emails ever again. Oh well.
The idea of such a strict "NO KIDS ALLOWED" at a baby shower is kind of weird to me, too. But you expect when you make that rule that some people may not be able to attend.
Ugh this is some shit that my ex friend would have done - like if someone was at a fucken baseball game he would look up and see what time the game was ending to determine whether or not they could have hung out afterwards. Invitations are not mandatory. He sounds like an ass.
Also, it was nice of this friend to give you a heads up so you can have a breezily insulting response ready. "She does babysit for us sometimes, but we try to save that for important stuff."

I love that it's a guy, not even the H of the shower couple, doing the calling out. Co-ed, child free baby showers are serious business. What a bunch of tools.
I am pretty fired up about it too. And I am getting more enraged the longer I think about it.
It is safe to say we will not be hanging out with these people anymore (the people who had the shower and the guy who just called H out on it).
Because maturity.
Wait, so was the H in the couple having the baby the one who said the thing about your mom babysitting or did your H's "friend" say that?
Oh, wait - I was presuming that the guy who shared this info was warning your DH, in a "woah, Josh flipped his shit" kind of way. This friend was on his side? Good lord.
