I'm sitting at the bar in a sushi restaurant drinking wine and waiting for my take out. DW is away at a lake for the night and the kids have a sitter. I may have another glass of wine.
We have reclaimed the basement! So many bags of trash, so much cat hair. We took a full truck load of stuff to the dump/salvage place.
Ready for the great furniture shuffle tomorrow! The only hiccup is that my bad ankle decided to give out on me as I stepped out the door with a box of tile, and I bit it pretty hard. All my weight onton my right knee on concrete. it is swollen and I can tell its going to be really awful and stiff when I wake up. And of course my ankle hurts. so sore left ankle, rifht knee. And I was already waddling a bit. Im walking like a drunk sailor at this point. So i was already Going to be useless for lifting hwavy shit. Now I'm REALLY going to be no help.
Oh and shorti was supposed to be with the il's but mil is sick. So she'll be underfoot.
Oh well. I think we'll still get all the major stuff done.
HOW are you doing all this lifting and falling and totin' and you're big pregnant?!!
Not wawa, but I was doing crap like this at 8-9 months pregnant. Like taking down a tree and splitting it for firewood.
You just take lots of breaks, lots of water, being aware of what your limits are and when you need a real rest.
My random: we got the veggie garden in. Had my folks down and SIL, BIL & nephew over yesterday for dinner. Also mowed the yard. Also scrubbed all the screens and washed the curtains. I need to take the patio curtains in to the dry cleaners and vacuum the top of the roman blinds.
Not NEAAAAAARLY as much done as I wanted to, but that's because the weather's been stupid. It's been threatening rain all day, so I've not wanted to start to tackle a major project, but barely any has fallen. I fucking hate this. I should take a photo of the front two beds that need to be dug out. Y'all'd faint.
H and I got into a huge fight because he ran a stop sign and a stoplight because he thought we were going to be late for said wedding.
And our cat has been acting funny lately. Not wanting to eat or drink, hiding all the time and crying when we pick her up like she is terrified. We got feliway to try and help with her stress, but I am still woried about her since we won't be settled for at least a month. She has a history of stress and bladder issues too and now I am.kicking myself for not pushing the vet more to get her back on antidepressants like when we first got her. If she isnt better by Tuesday, H is taking ber to the vet.
I'm not going to our friend's annual barbecue today because I'm not feeling well. I'll miss catching up with everyone of course but I'm mostly sad I'm not going to be there to observe any "plate fixing" that might go on. lol

I am liking this for the "plate fixing" and not for the fact you don't feel well.

DH made margs and is cooking stuff on the grill. I am messing around on the interwebz and eating guacamole.
I made a good start on purging my closet -- we have a neighborhood garage sale coming up and I am finally trying to get rid of a bunch of clothes that have accumulated that I 1) no longer wear or 2) no longer fit into. The latter was kind of disheartening. I am old and will never have my size 4 hips again. Probably not even my size 6 hips. Normally that doesn't bother me, but it was kind of in my face today.
@soudesafinado Im not toting any of the really heavy stuff. Just a lot of litle stuff and I sit down a lot. Not gonna lie, I'm groaning every time I stand up Though. my hips are killing me with all the up and down the stairs and such. Its been a long two days. Just a bit more to do tomorrow.
mominatrix c25k is awesome and you should totally do it. Dont worry if you have to repeat a day or week here and there. And it'll feel like a big jump when you get to the first 20 minute run. Have faith and know that you can absolutely do it at that point and anything that says otherwise is all in your head. Also prepare to shell out a bit for good shoes. Go to a real running store and tell then you're a newb and put yourself in their hands. you're asking for shin splints and other injuries if you skip the shoes.
Ugh... two and a half glasses of wine last night, and I have a headache this morning. I'm not sure if it's the actual dehydration from drinking the wine, or that the I slept weird and my neck hurts and that hurting resulted in the headache, but either way I'm pretty sure the wine is to blame, and I have a long day ahead of me.
Vet is coming to advise on hospice care for kitty today. Keeping our fingers crossed for good news.

The news had shots of people at a comic con type event in Houston. They were asking folks about the Rockets chance in the playoffs. A Twi'leck could not identify the Golden State.
We were sitting in McD eating just now in a poorer area. We were the only ones there besides workers. A man walked in and yelled "everyone out and give me all your money". DH and I froze. No one did anything. Apparently he's a friend of the workers and it was a joke. People suck.
