I'm tired. DS decided 430am was wake up and play time until I made him go back to bed. He got back up at quarter to 6. That's more reasonable.
I'm seeing all of these posts about painting rooms gray. I painted my living room and hallway a light gray, and every other room is a blue or green color. I just cannot do gray well.
My family is drama filled these days and I'm over it. My dad is being more of an ass than usual, he and mom are fighting, he and my sister are fighting, and he's still refusing to talk to me (2 years now). He refused to go with my mom to visit my sister and BIL. Day before yesterday BIL who is a type 1 diabetic decided to only eat brownies and oreos for the day, so yesterday he ended up in the ER and ICU with diabetic ketoacidosis.
ddi741, will you post a pic of the romper? I think some can be super cute.
My random is that I was tasked with redesigning our COO's PowerPoint for a webinar this afternoon. He had the dreaded "wall of text" on most slides, and pictures misplaced so they covered our logo. It took me like 15 minutes to clean it up and everyone's telling me what a great job I did.
I found a ball gown over the weekend. Now I need to find a place to get it altered. And find my shoes. I think they're in a box in the basement that hasn't yet been unpacked.
Do people exist that can actually wear formal attire off the rack, or does everyone need to get these things altered?
The shawl I'm working on that I had plans to wear to the ball won't get done in time. But, that's OK - the colour of yarn would be awful with the colour of the dress I found, and I have another shawl in my stash (knit a year ago or so) that will be a perfect match.

Here is a link to the romper. It won't let me download a picture. I should get it on Friday.
I am also loving that JCPenney has a "looks that you'll love" section because I am not good at putting separates together so with that function, they've done it for me and I can buy the whole look.
I'm feel like such a Debbie downer. I am sad that I failed, but I'm also proud of myself for not giving up. So many people talk about wanting to take the exams, but they never do. So many people would have given up by now if they were in my shoes. I'm halfway done. I'm going to finish! I can do it!
ddi741, I think that's very cute and not too romper-y. It could almost pass for shorts and a top. You could really dress it up with jewelry and cute shoes to make it not childish at all too.
steph96, you got this! Your determination is not Debbie Downer at all!

Thanks. that's exactly what I thought. I like them on other people so I'm hoping it looks good on.
RockNVoll - I bet you're so excited! I can't imagine being away from my H that long. We thought it was going to have to happen for a couple of years but we somehow got lucky and ended up in the same city.
My random: two weeks and we've only managed to unpack the kitchen, most of the bedroom and semi set up the projector in the basement "theater" room which I am so tempted to put a bed in because it's about 12 degrees cooler than the master bedroom. Our living room, guest rooms and bathrooms look like a storage unit still. I'm so tired of spending all my free time cleaning and unpacking. I just want it to be done!
steph96, I'm sorry you didn't pass but I'm glad to hear your positive attitude about it! It's pretty common not to pass, right? I think you'll kill it next time.
I'm sad because I forgot my coffee mug at home and didn't realize it until I had already made a pot of coffee. I am drinking it out of my water bottle (a Camelbak, so it can handle it) but it's not the same. Plus what if I want to drink water?
I also woke up super late and ran out of the house without time to eat or pack anything to eat, so I ate a (delicious) crappy breakfast and will have to buy my lunch. Not so great for my diet or budget...as though either of those were on track anyway lol.

Was this your first attempt at that section of the exam? If so, don't sweat it. I had one section I had to take twice and passed one the second go-around. Just look at first time pass rates and you'll feel better!
OMG, I am working from home today and there is a bird in the garage. We have a two story garage with a window at the peak so the birds fly in through the open garage door and go right to the window and then spend the day chirping at the window because they can't figure out to fly back to the open garage door.
It has been in there since 8:00am this morning when I opened the garage door to come in from walking the dog. I have tried to get it's attention. I have put a bread trail on the floor to try to coax it out the door but no, it's still up at the window chirping. At this point it probably won't fly out until it gets dark and it realizes the only way out is the garage door. I feel so bad for it.
We can't reach the window but I am thinking we need to get up there somehow and put a big owl statue or something up there to scare them away. We don't want to cover the window because we like the light in there.
Oh steph96, I'm sorry. But way to keep your chin up and be more determined for next time. And hopefully without that reconciliation hanging over you, you won't be as stressed.
I'm sorry about the test, steph96. But, at least you are trying! There are so many people out there (myself included) that have not even done that much.
RockNVoll - so happy for your reunification with DH. And still jealous of you getting to be in London! That is on our list for potential moves in the next several years. DH should be able to find a temp placement over there in his field pretty easily.
I am glad it is Wednesday. I'm so tired. Had dinner with a girlfriend last night at a mall restaurant and then just walked around the quiet, empty mall after she had to go until almost closing. So peaceful, but I didn't get too bed until much later than usual and then woke up two hours early to a whining cat.
I discovered that I could play Ruzzle in practice mode and just play by myself. I always knew there was a practice mode, but never tried it. I discovered this during last night's insomnia bout.

Are you good lol? If so, we should play. agnes and I used to play SWF, I think. It was either that or Ruzzle or something similar. I go through phases where I play one thing pretty heavily, so I get the phases confuses. Right now, I'm more into WWF than ever, and the Times Crossword app.
RockNVoll: I'm glad packing is going well. I hope your move is as smooth as possible and I'm happy that you and your H will finally be able to live together again . I was so sad for you when I read about the break-in attempt. How awful!

I've never had to get formal wear altered, dresses just fit me off the rack including bridesmaid dresses.

yes! And you were so good you pretty much always won.
Heed my word, orangeblossom, you'll have some serious competition.
hulley, definitely let me know if you guys make it over to London! I know it wouldn't be for a little while, but we plan to be there for a few years so maybe we'll overlap.
les, thank you and how is/was your move? Sorry, I lost track of the timing.
Definitely! We are looking at about three years from now, so it could happen!
