Fall Freshman year, and Summer Sr. year. Fall Freshman year: SK had the tradition of having hot tubs in the backyard for Bid Day weekend. My Bid Day (2003) was no different, and my year was the reason we no longer had them. All the sweet little pledges were told they should go to the sleeping porch early since it was going to be such a busy day tomorrow, and after going through rush we were all exhausted anyway so whatev. Once we were all on the Freshman Sleeping Porch, we heard all this snickering and stomping coming up the stairs leading up to the porch. Then we had naked Chi Psi's running though, and then we all had ice cream in the dining room (with the naked Chi Psi's). It was an interesting way to start my time at UW.
Summer Senior year: This was my first summer not living in a fraternity since I moved to UW. I lived in a townhouse with 3 other SKs. I was relatively well behaved this summer.
You went to summer school? Each year? Nope, I just stayed at UW to party. ;D I lived in three different fraternities for the summers after Frosh, Soph, and Jr years. I hung out with friends who were staying at other fraternities, participated in frat rush events, and worked part time.
If your house was burning down what 5 things would you grab? Can't be the practical stuff like pets, insurance papers, ID, etc... Wedding ring, KitchenAid mixer, the TJ chocolate potato chips I'm saving for after the challenge, wedding dress, and a bunch of my dog's treats so he follows me out!

what is wrong with UW being a commuter school? It loses the feel of "community," when so many of the students are only there for classes. There is the social life of course, but there are lots and lots of events on campus throughout the school year. I always felt sorry for the students who were commuters, I felt like they were missing out on so much.
The door chants weren't hazing, but allegedly it scares off Potential New Members (Rushees), too rah rah sorority. That was my favorite part of rush, and I have been known to do door chants while intoxicated (DC-UI? ) to this day.
My hazing comment was more about how soooo many things are now considered hazing, that it makes group activities really hard. For Big Sis reveal, did you guys do the string/yarn thing? We did, but then nationals told us we couldn't because that was a "scavenger hunt" and that's hazing! WTF?!?!?! We had to switch to this lame matching PJ's and dropping a blanket to reveal Bigs my Senior year :-(

What's your go-to tail gate meal? Drink? I usually try to eat before I arrive at a tailgate, since it's usually just a bunch of meat. I will go for whatever chips and dip is offered.
Drink: Bud Light, I can drink lots and lots of it, it's like water, and I don't get too drunk.

Fav Seattle place for a nice dinner? H and I tend to do more Brunch and HH stuff, but my favorite place for dinner is Bengal Tiger on Roosevelt. The Mango Wala is amazing, and you always get free soup and the cracker/bread stuff with three dips when you go there for dinner.
Fav Seattle place for a cheap bite? Tough question, my go-to is Greenlake Bar & Grill for HH.

Why didn't you want to start driving during HS? My parents didn't have any real desire to take me out to practice very much, and my friends all had cars and licenses.

If you could have two tickets to any event (Sports, theatre, concert, etc.) in Seattle, what would you go to? I already have UW Football season tickets, so tickets to the Seahawks' pre-season game against the Raiders, since H is a Raiders fan.

Tellus more about why you don't drive. Is there a specific reason? My parents didn't really take me out to practice very much, I passed Drivers Ed, the writing part of the license test, but I failed the driving part 3 times and gave up. My parents didn't want to put any more effort in, and I failed at parallel parking and was iffy with going too fast.

Any baby names picked out? Have you and DH discussed any? Yes to both My favorite girl name is Blythe and boy name is Gordan, and H has given me the okay for both. Middle names for boys will be Cortez (family name on H's side, sometimes they are named Cort for a shortened version, but H wants Cortez), and girls will have my maiden name as their middle.
