I can hear H hammering something downstairs. I'm scared to find out whatever he has taken apart now.
What an awful way to wake up.
DS has his third day of swim lessons today in this two week series of 8 lessons. This is our 4th round of lessons and this teacher is AWFUL. But today we are going to stay after the lesson and spend the morning at the pool so it should be fun.
Good morning. I can drive today! Was planning on going to target this morning but I have to wait for the pool people to finish installing our new heat pump. They gave us a 12-5 window yesterday, showed at 4:59, then had to leave mid-way through the install due to tornado warnings. I freaking hate service calls. Of course I have to be home to pay them, so no errands until they are gone.
It's my 30th birthday today! I'm bringing C to daycare as soon as he wakes up (of course the animals didn't let me sleep in). I'm thinking I'll come back home, shower in peace, watch an episode of OINTB, go shopping for a while and then grab lunch before my hair and pedi appt. Woot!

Happy Birthday!!
I left my DH in charge of getting the kids to daycare and am on my way into the city for my day of beauty/relaxation!

Happy Birthday! So jealous because tomorrow I am 37
Daycare is closed due to a power outage from the storm. Looks like I will have both kids this morning, but the daycare teachers offered to come over and watch DD1 this afternoon, and I may take one of them up on that. Daycare will let us know by 10am if the power is restored. I really wanted to go to the store today, but I did NOT want to take both kids.

We're currently sitting on a busy street corner watching the traffic go by. I'm drinking tea and L is eating a timbit. Not a bad way to spend a morning.
Checking in from vacation. Which isn't really a vacation with a 2.5 year old. He is currently trying to see how little sleep he can survive on. He went to bed at 1030 and was up at 645.
Luckily, we have had great weather! Today's plans include kayaking the river and hopefully strawberry picking!

Gah, I'm stuck home this morning for the cable company. I was gone for a bit on Saturday and it was acting up so DH took it upon himself to call and schedule this, the one day a week where I'm typically out of the house in the morning. Also, he tinkered with the box enough to figure out that all we need in a new power supply cord, called the service department to try and get them to simply mail us one, and newp, they still have to come out here and do it. Our window is 8-12, awesome.
Its supposed to be cooler today so I'm hoping to take the kids to the zoo.
Hopefully I can stay properly hydrated since last night was the worst. I drank nothing but caffeine all day, coffee, iced tea etc. I did manage to drink a few glasses of water an hour or so before running, and then during and after. But holy hell, I felt like death late last night. I finally remembered that we had Gatorade in the basement fridge and after I drank about half of one, I felt a million times better so my electrolytes must have been out of whack or something.
We found plane tickets to Hawaii yesterday for $468 RT, and when I went to book last night they were up to $570. I'm so pissed I didn't put them on hold.
Any luck that it was because of time of day and they'll go back down during the day today? I cleared my cookies but no luck.

DD has an ear infection and was up from 12-3:30 crying. I tried everything, but nothing calmed her down. I don't know what happened that she finally fell asleep, it was awful. I felt do bad for her. Of course it was when H is out of town so we were alone and I am utterly exhausted today.

What is the price if you try do only one at a time. Sometimes that's cheaper than doing multiples at once.

Is this American Airlines? Put the $570 on hold and keep on canceling and re-holdingas you stalk the fare the next few days/weeks.
Oh and I think Tuesdays nights/Wednesday midnight was when the fares are supposedly the lowest because that's when airlines load their fares into the system or something.
Happy birthday glitzy07 - enjoy your day...you deserve it!
Today is DD's 2nd birthday and I am way more emotional than I was on her 1st birthday (thanks pregnancy hormones). She is such a spunky, smart little girl with a big personality, and I can't wait to see what this next year holds for her, especially becoming a big sister.
DH took the day off work and we are going to the zoo, then having a small party tonight. She has been talking nonstop about birthday stuff lately ("Lucy blow out candle!" "Lucy open presents!"), so hopefully today will be a fun day for her.
Do you ever have a week you know you have a lot going on and then it all lines up to be the same day? That's today. DD has preschool, I have to go to the accountant, get some papers notarized, close on he sale of my dad's house in beaver creek, and a piano is getting delivered. And DD woke up at 6 because she had to go potty and needed a tissue. I'm so tired!
