I ran over to Target at lunch today to return something, but also pick up gifts for birthday parties this weekend. While there, I had the cartwheel coupon for 25% and 20% of C9 sports bras and shorts, so I picked some up. I don't currently exercise, although I want to get back into it, but I figured that if I bought work out clothes, I'd want to get motivated to wear them, lol. Then, while at the register, I grabbed two milky way bars - I've eaten 1 and 1/2 right now So much for being motivated!
Once again there is a toddler in the waiting room of the OBGYN. To make it better he just coughed a bunch then puked on the floor. Great! Every pregnant lady needs more exposure to germs!
DD changes her underwear in the morning, which is fine. Lately, she's been making things easier on herself by wearing multiple layers of underwear to bed, so all she has to do is peel one off. Last night, she tried to go to bed in 5!

I had to bring my toddler to all my OB appointments. She never puked but I am sure she coughed or sneezed. Not sure what else I was supposed to do.

Sorry I should have added--she has two other adults with her, what looks like her mom and her sister. Toddler appears to be the sister's. Not an ultrasound appt.

Ah. Ok, that I never saw at my office.Â
I get it if you're alone, no big. But the other time I bitched about it it was the same thing, like 3 adults with 2 kids and my office has signs up everywhere that say leave your kids over 6 months at home if possible. And our hospital campus has a big park in the middle so it just annoys me that one of the adults wouldnt take the kids over there or something and instead they just end up running wild in the waiting room.
OB appts seem to be family outings in my area, no idea why.
My daycare is closing after next week. I'm stressed about finding a new provider. I have found a few openings but the stress of the cost increase (we had a good deal with the current one, it will double) and getting DD set up in a new place worries me. She has been with her current providers since she was 7 or 8 weeks old. She will be 3 soon. She usually takes to people easily but I feel horrible leaving her with new people. I plan to introduce her and stay for a little while either before her first day or on her first day to see how she handles a new place. Her usual personality is to say "bye" and close the door on me but that's because she's comfortable where she is.
We had DS's 2 week well-check his morning where we found out that he's a full pound above his birth weight! So he's eating very well indeed. Then we went to a breastfeeding support group and did a weighed feed - he ate 134g in 8 minutes - no wonder he's gaining weight so well and I've been so hungry! I hope his feeding continues to be easy, since feeding DD was so much more difficult than this.
I unexpectedly have another 4 hours to myself tonight. I was supposed to pick C up from daycare after my pedi/haircut appointment, but H decided to so I could have more free time. He'll be at SS' lacrosse practice across town until 7:30.
I have three episodes of OITNB left, but it's also gorgeous outside. What to do!?

The pastor of our church just checked-in on Facebook to a pub/bar that's down the street from church saying he's having lunch with the organist and youth minister.
It's sometimes hilarious and fun to be "friends" with your pastor of FB. He's only a few years older than me and super funny, a total foodie and gay. Then I see him every Sunday all dressed up in robes and leading a very traditional Episcopalian church service in a historic building. I love it.

DW and I went to the movies with the baby and saw Inside Out. The baby slept and nursed the whole time, which was the plan. The movie was really cute. We took the bus and my friend was like OMG germs! I mean we washed out hands before and after. Are we just supposed to stay in the house?

And that is what I love about the Episcopal church.

It's so nice to get out of the house and even better when the baby makes it easy on you!!
DS2 went to a restaurant for lunch with DH and I when he was 3 days old and to a playdate for DS1 with a bunch of kids that were about 2 year old when he was a week old.
I'm sort of disappointed with my toenail color. It's supposed to be a plummy purple color, but it's super dark, almost black looking after two coats. It's very...goth. Which is like, the opposite of me.
I forgot how much I am annoyed by the newborn stage. Even more so with a toddler competing for my attention.
And I've spent more than 15 hours waiting for pool service people this months. Giving a 5-hour window and showing up late 3 times is so aggravating. I'm definitely complaining.
The library was supposed to have a puppet show today. We got over there and the fuckers didn't show up. I'm just glad that the children's librarian is so great. She put on an impromptu music class because some of the kids were really upset.
Still no period, still no positive pregnancy test. ETA: I didn't tell this cycle and this just reinforces my termination to do so next cycle. I hate having absolutely no clue what's going on while TTC.
Can someone give me a rec for a short/easy read that my library will likely have available to me RIGHT NOW? I have nothing to read but I am next in line for another book, so I don't want to start anything too long.
No one responded to this, so then I forgot and now I'm on a train with nothing to read.
Thanks for nothing!
I was not home or I would have given you some suggestions! I hate riding the train or bus by myself with nothing to read.
I recently read Purple Hibiscus and loved it, and I'm in the middle of Brown Girl Dreaming. It's basically a biography but written in poetry. Sounds weird, and I totally thought it wouldn't be my style, but I love it.
My poor husband is on a Greyhound bus traveling to Chicago to do some job interviews and other job hunting. The asshole bus driver skipped the lunch stop and they just finally stopped at a gas station. Apparently, that is where they are allowed to get dinner. WTF. He is having beef jerky and Gardettos. I felt bad telling him that we were having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner when he asked.
