Yum! Did you get this recipe from your step-daughter's therapist?
What did I miss?
I have time this morning...
Did you follow along months ago? Then you've missed nothing. Because there has been no update, damnation pretty much disappeared, but now is back and posting as if there isn't anything lots of posters clearly remember. If you didn't follow along back then you've missed a lot, lol.
She's doing great! We're all still in therapy, she's in a summer enrichment program for ESL students and is getting ready to start HS in the fall.
I know how ML loves a good update but that's really it. I'd like to post here more often but not about my kids or my H specifically. I learned my lesson and prefer to keep some things private moving forward. If that makes me boring, so be it. ML is always a good read.
Oh, I also got a new boss at work and I really like her so that's going well for the first time in many years.
Wait, is this the poster who her and her husband worked hard to get the kid over to them and then things got hard and she wanted to send her back or make her go to bed really early or something? Basically didn't want to let her be a kid?

Yes. And was letting her son sleep with the stepdaughter. Was upset SD wanted to sleep with the light on and had different bathroom habits than we (Americans) are used to. And wanted to voluntarily hold SD back to repeat 8th grade. Everyone urged OP to get the family into counseling, even before SD moved, but that was largely ignored. But apparently it's all ok now and they're "still" going to therapy! Even though that's brand new info and they weren't the last time she posted.

So is this a real, live bilingual therapist, or are you all just taking online personality quizzes and sharing your results via Google translate?

I am sitting here like a fool trying to translate this with my (many moons ago now) high school/college spanish.
Woman. Bad decisions. You think you're independent? Lolll

I missed this one, do I even want to know?
SD is not used to being able to dispose of toilet paper by flushing in the toilet, OP was upset that she kept putting it in the trash. Even though it's obviously a huge cultural change for SD, OP seemed to lack empathy in any situation.
What kind of dough are you? You got : Spaghetti being fed a small dog on a lonely woman
You like to think that you are independent , driven and responsible, but his life is just a dizzying array of bad decisions and sad twists of plot. It is not an animal disease-ridden against him, but it's the least of your worries
“Life is not orderly. No matter how we try to make it so, right in the middle of it lose a leg, fall in love, drop a jar of applesauce.” - Natalie Goldberg

Me pregunto cuándo cuello cisne volverán en estilo.
Son tan versátil y elegante. Especialmente bajo una chaqueta neru.
