I just finished The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up. I read it in one day and couldn't wait to get started. I finished my clothes and books today. I'm in the middle of 1Q84. I like it but it's long and I have no idea when I'll finish it. I also read The Ninja Detectives by Octavia Spencer. It's a children's book but it has a cute story. One Night by Eric Jerome Dickey is my next book for bookclub. It's been riding around in my husband's car since the 4th.
I get 95% of my books from the library. I use Overdrive to get ebooks and audiobook on my cheap tablet. I like the feel of books though so I usually have something on hold and get a couple of random books when I go pick up my held book (That's how I ended up with ninja detectives).
I am reading a book called The Sweet Life in Paris, which is a random book about expat life that I found on my library's website.
If a book is available on Kindle through my library, that's how I read it. I'd say 95% of my books are acquired that way. The other 5% are probably 50/50 hard copy books I get from the library and Amazon Kindle purchases (which tend to be free because I'm a Prime member and get a lot of credits for opting out of fast shipping).
Another library user checking in. I don't use an e-reader; I pick up hard copy books.
I just finished The Girl on the Train. Perfect summer read. Wish I had been on the beach reading it. Next up is My Antonia, which I never read in high school. Also perusing The Happiest Toddler on the Block.
I just added a ton of books to my Goodreads to-read list thanks to this thread. I'm intrigued by Factory Girls (page).
I'm reading If I Stay. It's young adult. lol. didn't realize it until I got home. but its good.
Pro tip: do NOT finish that book in public. I finished it on the bus, and I was a sobbing wreck. You should definitely read the sequel (Where She Went) - I think I liked it better, but it also reduced me to tears in public. (You'd think I would have learned, but no.) She has another series of books (Just One Day and Just One Year, with a short story wrap up Just One Day) that are also really great. [/GayleFormanFangirl]
