I've heard good things about Me, and Earl, and the Dying Girl.
I mowed the yard this morning when it was 85 degrees with a heat index of 95 or so. I sort of want to just sit under the ceiling fan and not move the rest of the day now.

I'ce been up since three. I relented and followed DH six hours to meet MIL. All was well until like the last 30-45 minutes. The car GPS Started doing stupid stuff, and I ended up getting lost and having to drive over two major bridges, I wouldn't have had to of I hadn't gotten lost. I'm not a fan of bridges.
We're on our way home now. I was probably not my friendliest to MIL. I kind of feel bad, but not really.
We're planning to watch Ghostbusters tonight. I *think* I've seen it before but I don't remember if I've seen the whole thing or if I've just seen bits and pieces and that's been forever ago.
Dh has always been horrified over what movies I've never seen so we're slowly going through the list he put together for me. So far he's made me watch Indiana Jones, the Star Wars movies, Back to the Future, and Jaws. So tonight we add Ghostbusters. One of my coworkers found out about this and made me watch Pretty in Pink and another one says she's going to make me watch Cocktail. Dh says I'm a horrible child of the mid/late 80s to 90s.
But I've seen Dirty Dancing like a million times, so I say I'm ok.

I am in your DH's court for the unforeseeable future since he's introducing you to the must-see films.
We got hit by a serious storm about 12:30-1:30 last night. We had a small tornado touchdown briefly 20-30 miles west of us and it was actually scary enough for me to move the kids to the basement. Amazingly they slept through pretty much all of it.
Anyway, we lost power for about 12 hours, but it's back on. Our trees stayed intact. No major damage here.
First time in years since I moved here that I was legit scared by the weather.

This morning I had to dial back a website update we did yesterday because someone just had to launch an external tool at 4pm on a Friday. Imagine my shocked face when it didn't quite go according to plan.
I'm really hungry right now because we're having bison burgers tonight but DH won't be home to grill them (for us and our guests, who will arrive then) until after 6:30. Trying not to eat my arm.
I saw an oldz cyclist pull a fucking stupid move today - he barreled right across moving traffic (cutting in front of the car ahead of me) and almost got hit because he didn't even pause for a stop sign. I honked at him and gestured a "WTF dude" and he glared at me and started cursing at me. I fucking hate other cyclists who perpetuate the hatred against the rest of us who actually care about traffic laws.
I leave for the UK in ELEVEN days. Shit is getting' real.

I slept through everything. I woke up and asked DH what was up with all the down branches and he just looked at me like *blink blink*
We drove from Dallas to Memphis today, and I pretty much never want to see the inside of my car again. Tomorrow is an off day, so I think we're going to either the children's museum or Mud Island.

I've worked 2 consecutive 14-hour days. I'm pooped.
I saw Ant Man on Thursday. It was great--super funny. I really want to see Trainwreck and Magic Mike XXL. Me, earl and the dying girl will be a rental for me.

*snort* I insisted on buying a weather radio last year and that thing is insanely loud. I can sleep through phone alerts sometimes. I can't sleep through that thing going off.
