Emma is like nails on a chalkboard for me. I don't have any bad association with it, I just think it's a horrible sounding name. I can't believe so many people use it.
I teach middle school and I have so many kids this year in the Jayden/Braydon/Caden family (and I even have a Hayden this year. no joke). Its ridiculous, I feel like I am reciting the worlds stupidest poem every day in class.
As for more grown up names, I don't love the girls names of the early 80s (and believe me, I have one) like Melissa, Jennifer, Michelle, Allison. I don't hate them- I just think they are kind of generic now since I know so many of them.

I generally hate last names as first names, obviously masculine names for girls, and old fashioned names that don't fall onto the classic category (Sherman, Gertrude, Linda, etc). And I'm not bothered by creative names unless they aren't phonetic.
Oh, and Jeffery. I have no rationale for that, but I hate it.
Jeffrey was always one of my names, sadly I married one! My mom used to call him that and I finally had to tell her to call him Jeff b/c I can't stand the name Jeffrey! Thank god he didn't want a junior when we had our sons!
i'm not surprised though since it and a hundred variations are starting to get popular. i love my name, but i'm not a huge fan of all the spin-offs and unique spellings.
