We're up and watching cartoons in my bed. C's fever never went below 101, even with Motrin and Tylenol. Now it's back up to 102+ and I'm trying to figure out if I should take him into the walk-in clinic when they open at 8.
Fever here as well. DS woke at 5:30. He asked for milk and promptly puked it all back up. Poor thing can't keep anything down. Feels like it's going to be a looooooong day here.
DD was up at 6:30 asking for "milk" & "brush." THIS KID. I gave her an old makeup brush to play with; she was playing with it before bed. Daddy made her put it on the kitchen table before bed... the first thing she is thinking about when she wakes up is a makeup brush. She is crazy!
I'm awake but still in bed. Need to get up soon to get ready to meet a family we are good friends with for breakfast. I'm still feeling nauseous. Hoping that's a sign labor will start soon but realize I'm being a bit ridiculous about that.
I also have a work appt this afternoon which I scheduled during DS's naptime. After I get back and he's up i think we'll get out the baby pool and water table for him to play. Should be another good weather day.

My H acts like he cannot POSSIBLY do a MOTN when he has to work the next day. This has been mostly fine, since I have been on leave, but I go back to work tomorrow. So. Buck up, H!
I'm just so over doing all the MOTN because he ... doesn't want to??? Neither effing do I! Gah.
Clearly I'm grumpy.
I'm having coffee before I get us ready to go to church. Here is hoping for a good day.
After several nights of MOTN wake ups/fussiness, DS slept through the night! Maybe those teeth are done for now?
I'm starting to get excited about fall because of the cute clothes I'm buying for DS! I'm not excited about trying to cram his feet in to real shoes, though. Sandals have been my lifesaver this summer.
Day 7 of the stomach bug. Waiting for pedi to call us back for an apt. Thank god they are open Sundays. Our anniversary plans have been postponed until next weekend. Just leave my house evil evil stomach bug!!!!!
My kid knows some of his letters, and his little voice saying them is the cutest thing I have ever heard. "dee? Dee dee dee. YI! YI! Kkkkkkkkaaaaayyyy."
Aww! DD just keeps getting more and more words and sounds and it's all so cute! Right now I hear her singing/saying part of the alphabet song.

J is starting daycare a week from tomorrow. As part of his orientation, we go to the daycare and stay with him for half a day just so that he can become familiar with everything while the parents are there. He and I went on Friday. Every one of the kids in his class had a runny nose.
J was up starting at 3am coughing, sneezing and crying. He never wakes up middle of the night. He also has a fever.
Is this what daycare does? If so, I hate it already.
dancingirl21, Leo was at a daycare for an hour while he and DH toured on Wednesday--by Thursday afternoon he had a runny nose and has been cranky as hell!

Having an older child is great. DS woke up about 45 minutes before DD and I. Took himself to the bathroom, made a snack and sat quietly watching TV while DD and I slept. It was awesome.

Yes, your child will probably constantly have a running nose when He starts daycare. I'm on the app so I don't know how old your child is, but DD started daycare at 11 weeks, she basically had a cold or sickness about every four weeks after starting. It's just part of being a daycare kid.

He's 2. Lovely, can't wait. (I'm not thrilled about him going, obviously. This is just one more thing adding to my anxiety.)

Unfortunately, yes. My pedi says they're sick more than they're well for the first year or so of daycare, kindergarten, whatever. So it's either now, or later when they're missing school.
Piper's had fever/coughing viruses thus far, maybe a third. It was hard to tell. She's pretty much always got a runny nose.
But by the time she gets to kindergarten, she'll have a fab immune system.
My dad is in the hospital with congestive heart failure. He's full of fluid still can't breathe and his blood pressure will not regulate. We came yesterday and are at the hotel now waiting to meet the cardiologist. He's been healthy and active to this point so wth.
I have spent the good share of my past five years in and out of hospital waiting rooms for one reason or another. It sucks.
DD woke up at 6, which is so unlike her. DH went in and was able to get her right back to sleep. I then spent the next hour or so tossing and turning and never falling back asleep. Finally I got up and am eating cereal. DH just got up as well so everyone is up except DD, who at 8am is still sleeping soundly. We have to leave in 45 minutes to make it to church. We might go to the later service, go tonight, or just skip this weekend. I really feel like just hanging in my pajamas forever today!
DD is still sleeping at 9:00am. This is unprecedented. We went to an outdoor concert last night so she went to bed late, so I expected her to sleep in a little bit, but this is amazing! I'm drinking coffee, watching TV, and enjoying every second of it.
I should probably check on her soon, but I'm enjoying this a little too much.
DH has to work all day. Planning to do some yard work and cleaning with DD today. Maybe go to the pool later. Nothing exciting, just a chill Sunday.
